Field Cover and Playability

For anyone who has played with his/her board first without a field cover, and then after installing a field cover, I'm curious if you noticed any changes to how the players move, and if you did, if playability is better or worse after putting on a field cover?

A field cover does not really affect the playability of a game board unless you don't apply it correctly. In other words, getting a lot of air bubbles underneath a vinyl field cover will create "bumps" that could affect a player's direction. Magnetic Covers are easier to apply and are easily removeable but depending on the thickness you may have to turn up the speed of the motor to get the players to move like you want them. The key to a good field cover application is to make sure the surface you are applying it to is clean and free of dust, dirt and debri.
