Not really. The size of the board increases the difficulty level of the game. There is no necessity of relating smaller figures to the smaller boards. The figures are generally the same size because smaller boards make it easier to gain yards and score touchdowns. Larger boards make it more difficult to gain yardage and gives the defense more room to maneuver against the offense. Proficient coaches on larger boards are typically better passers, because the game necessitates it.
