This is a rematch from Week 2.   (I don’t like rematches)

The score was 31-28 Eagles, but not as close as it looks because of a late TD by the Giants.  No really impressive stats.  Just a gritty game using different players.  The Eagles had an especially stout defensive performance that day.

It’s time for kickoff!

 

The Giants are led by Saquon Barkley and Daniel Jones.  In the final week of the season, Barkley ran 14 times for 198yds and 2 TDs.  Jones used his legs more than his arms rushing for 119yds and 2TDs.  He only passed for 64yds.

The Eagles star player in the final week was AJ Brown who turned 5 receptions into 111yds and 3TDs.  But, the Eagles have found different ways to win this season.  
 

I describe both of these teams as gritty.

Greg I owe you a thank you after watching your video and loving the way those runners perform I ended up getting three of those bases. That's all I really needed even though I bought three packs. Now we will see how they perform in the upcoming season in August, our eighth straight 7 Game season. We played 10 14 games seasons and now we're down to our last season. Looks like those three bases will have to earn their way to gain respect in the league but I believe they will. A six second hundred yard dash is blazing but we do have guys that are very speedy backs but only time will tell where these bases take us. Thank you again

Both of these teams have deficits.  The Giants passing game is awful.  Eagles running game has struggled.  But, to start the 3rd quarter, Jalen Hurts (#1) takes the ball in from 8 yards to make the score Eagles 28 Giants 14

The Eagles kick a FG to make it 31- 27.   The Giants get the ball to their own 42 with 35 seconds to go.  Then, the Giants (who have not been able to pass all day find Isaiah Hodgins behind the D, and he goes for 48 yards.  
 

Giants up 34-31 with 25 seconds to go,

I don’t know why “No” was on the bottom of this.  LOL

The Eagles definitely made a mistake on defense here.  The Giants had only passed for 52 yards all day.  But, on this play Hodgins lined up in the backfield to protect against the rush.  After he made his block, he turned up field.  The Eagles weren’t in a zone (they hadn’t been all day), and Hodgins went right past them.  Hodgins had not caught a pass all day.  He hadn’t even gotten off his defender.  But, his lining up in the backfield (and away from one-on-one) gave him the opportunity to get free.
