No clue how accurate this is, but I'm using info found on Wikipedia to create rosters for some paper EF figures.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1963_Chicago_Bears_seasonI was the one who updated the roster on this page. It's pretty accurate.

Just use decals.

1. Listen to what other people have to say and then make your own decisions.
2. Be consistent.
3. Have fun. It's a game, if it's not fun then it's work.

I'm so sorry I was talking into the phone and I think it's called you Ralph LOL I love the pictures are really great
No problem. It takes me a while because I only work on the teams during spare moments. I typically do them in batches...one pose at a time.

These are particularly beautiful renditions. I really like your style...very clean and simple using the Fab Five figures. Very similar to my approach. It looks to me like most of your teams are all-time players for their particular teams? How many players per team?

Nice work on the figures. They look great!

Well done!

I used Apple Barrel Navy Blue and New England Patriots number decals for these:

Good advice with the Easy Off. However, I just paint over the entire figure and save the pain of working with the harsh chemicals.

Anywhere where there's friction between the kicking leg and the stationary leg will adversely affect its kicking ability. You can still use it to throw a pass though.

I agree with what has been said about taking care to not get paint and sealer in the leg socket. However, once you start painting a TTQB, it's probably not going to perform as well as a kicker. You can still pass OK, but if kicking is important, keep an unpainted TTQB around. Here are some TTQBs that I've painted and decaled over the years. They look good and match their teams, but they really don't kick very well.

This is irrelevant.

The painting process is the same. I paint the figure and the leg separately and reattach it it once the sealer is dry. The decals are more of more of a challenge, especially because there isn't a pants stripe specifically for the TTQB.

How about the "Blarney Stones"

I picked up a bunch of teams as a garage sale and played several season, kept stats, and dreamed about having every NFL team. Then one day, many years later, I reopened that old box filled with teams and decided that now I could actually have more and so I've been buying them and making them ever since...

I like your suggestions. I would prefer they stay away from trendy designs that are ultimately forgettable.
Think of the classics...Bears, Steelers, Raiders to name a few.
