  1. Tighten up little buddy, they comin’ after you!!

    Now THAT was a blitz!

I don’t get the Madden reference. I never played a down of Madden.

In my experience, I can’t watch everything at once, so I do make occasional adjustments ie  throwing off the Blackfoot. I take into account the flow and the spirit of the game. Not to get all hippy dippy, but I do believe each game has its own vibe. Spirit, if you will.

  2. So coach T’s advice about eBay proved correct! I, through some help and perseverance, have not only located the Bears team I wanted, but much more! Pictures to come once all the items are in hand!

Its great to be able to get excited all over again with this hobby!

  3. Here, Here!! There are alternate helmets, uniforms, and yes, throwbacks that fans of Uni-Forms are clamoring for. I don’t know what their numbers show. Maybe we are a minority, but with computer technology at the fingertips and templates for Uni-Forms already downloaded, (one assumes). It should not be difficult to offer the new team looks as well as the old! Maybe there is a licensing problem. Who knows. Communication is at a minimum concerning this.

  4. Agreed! I do enjoy my alone time as well. Also it appears I need to read more Thoreau! That was excellent!
So, on multiple YouTube sites, the majority of the contributors appear to be solitaire Coaches. It also has not escaped me that not one of them have posted anything in a month or longer.

I'm certainly glad the coaches on the Forum share content and ideas because even though I love this solitaire journey, I really enjoy viewing content and participating in the transfer of ideas.
    It’s a great journey!

  5. I am in agreement there. I’m not misanthropic. Much. But I do enjoy solitaire play. Only child til age 9. I can make ANY game solitaire. I have an old Vince Lombardi Football board game that I have played since age 12. It still has some of the scores from games way back when. I still enjoy it as much today 50 years later!

  6. Great question, Coach T.

The 49ers we’re not weighted at the time. I will go back and apply weight to them to level the competition. Since I am reading this away from the game room, (or the “Office” as my wife refuses to acknowledge “The Game Room”🤣) I would have to check the numbers. Still, with the absence of weight on the 49ers squad, I would still have to level up and add weight. I will tell you the Lions squad was kinda amazing! I mean, the Packers were not that bad and hung well with them, but just couldn’t break that 9 to 2 point barrier. It was a totally enjoyable matchup!

  7. The Packers kept up with the Lions but they could not overcome the 17 point second quarter. The Packers Favre had a career type passing performance and the Lions ground game could not be stopped. In the end, the Packers scored late on a 49 yard Favre to Freeman touchdown pass but could not recover the onside kick allowing the Lions to easily run out the clock. Final score, Lions 43-Packers 41. The MVP of the game was the Lions #14 StBrown with two kickoff returns for touchdowns and 365 all purpose yards. Whatever team faces the Lions in the future will have a Herculean task, as he is not the only dangerous weapon in the Lions arsenal!

Next up: Giants v Saints. The Giants will be the first Beenutt team to take the field at MRC Memorial Stadium! The Saints will be the first true home team to take the field! All this, LIVE on MNF Tournament III! (Gifford’s voice…naturally!)

  8. Excellent! My wife has one she never uses but it was a Christmas present this last year and it may be too soon to co-op just now.

Report on my first foray with Mert’s Pliers. I received an ITZ Starter base and a pink ITZ Blitz base which has a very soft plastic I haven’t worked with before. The Starter base went from turning tight circles to actually moving straight down the field at a very decent clip! This was after about a five minute tweak. I’m working on my Home Bears in Uni-Forms and a receiver claimed it quickly. This is pre adding weight. I bought some tungsten putty to try out, so this receiver may be a complete lab rat.

The pink Blitz base was more of a project. I took about 15 minutes with it and produced a light looper with fairly good speed. With weight it would be a possible starting base. This was from a base that was at a jittery standstill pre-tweak!
All in all, I would give these pliers a solid A from a limited test run. I bought them to tweak ITZ bases and I probably won’t use them on Tudor bases. Probably. I have my repertoire down for those. The ITZ bases, on the other hand, we’re giving me a fit and these seem to be an answer. They feel well made and are not clunky. ( I thought a bit light at first, but this is not the case.) they are proportional to the bases they were, apparently, made for. As of now, I am very satisfied with these pliers!

  9. So ITZ sent me my curved pliers today,(along with a pink Blitz round front base and a Starter flat front base. Thanks ITZ!). It comes to my attention the videos show heating the pliers before using. I do not possess the outlay I saw in those videos to heat them. Any ideas on how to heat the pliers? Do I really need them heated?
    Thanks!
