After 1 half Ohio State has kept Alabama’s Derrion Henry under wraps currently leading 14-7.

So far OSU has been able to keep alabama’s offense to a minimum. the second half will need to feature the same defense we saw in the first half if they want to close out this game.

The third quarter saw 2 TDs 1 from each team. Going into the 4th quarter Alabama 14 Ohio State 21.

At the start of the 4th quarter Alabama wasted no time with QB Eddie Wright hitting a deep 40+ yard pass to #22 Greg Dunn who took it all the way for a TD tying the game 21-21:

The following possession Evan Kresce catches an out route and gets wacked by LB Clinton Bonner causing a fumble:

 

The Tide followed up the turnover with a TD run by Derrion Henry taking a 28-21 lead:

All American CB David Stone seals the game on Ohio State’s final play with an interception giving Bama the win 28-21:

 

OSU has nothing to hang their heads at as they had a successful season and an impressive playoff run giving the #1 team a run for their money. QB Shawn Ritter, WR Nelson Strickland, and tackle machine Charles Martinez who had 5 tackles, 1 sack, and a pressure will all be returning next season so i see a very bright future for this team.

As for Alabama Game MVP goes to…

LB #0 CLINTON BONNER: 3 tackles, 1 FF, 1 FR, 1 pressure. The fumble recovery was the turning point of the game and allowed alabama to get the win so i gave it to him over Eddie Wright who was 11/13, 265 yds, 2 TD, 1 car, 60 yds, 1 TD. i understand this statline is amazing for a playoff game but u can’t stress enough how huge that forced fumble was the defense couldn’t get a stop.
