RAIDERS GIVE COLTS A GAME FALLING JUST SHORT OF TIME IN 35-28 WILD CARD LOSS!

Before the kickoff the excitement was in the air in this game between the Las Vegas Raiders (4-3) and the Indianapolis Colts (6-1).

This game was all that! On the opening kickoff as expected, Joseph Addai plowed his way to a 50-yard kick return before he was met by Lyle Alzado who made the stop at midfield. It only took one play for the Colts offense to get into the endzone. On a gorgeous run to the right side of the Raiders defense Joseph Addai ran a 50-yard touchdown scamper to take the lead, 7-0 Colts.
The Raiders were just as impressive! Dave Casper ran back a 45 yard kick return to open Las Vegas first drive. The Raiders offensive line impressed with Bo Jackson running for one, 16, two, four, and finally at 32 yard run into the end zone to tie the score at 7-7, as the first quarter came to a close! To open the second half Joseph Addai returned a 56-yard kickoff and he was smashed again by Lyle Alzado for the second time in the game, but one play later the Indianapolis Colts offensive line did their job once again pulling to the left and finding a hole for Addai to blast through the Las Vegas defense for a 49 yard run downfield and into the end zone to give the Colts the lead 14-7, with 12:24 remaining in the half. Great execution by the Colts! The first half came to a close but the coaches in the room were stunned by the Raiders play calling by Coach Kevin Mack who executed a great game.

On the next Las Vegas kick return, Dave Casper returned a weak kick 37-yards to set up Bo Jackson. On first down, Jackson exploded 59-yards to the 4-yard line, paving the way for Dave Casper to take a four-yard touchdown catch in for the score to tie the game 14-14, and the Raiders impressed again in the running game. What a tremendous competitive game between these two coaches, way better than expected.

On the ensuing kickoff for the Colts Joseph Addai was stopped at the 37-yard line of Indianapolis. One play later Addai ran for a 31-yard first down, forcing the Colts to call their first time out. On their next play Addai was stopped by a tough Las Vegas defense, forcing the Colts again to use their last time out. On the next play, Colts receiver  Raymond Berry broke Free for a 37-yard touchdown catch to give the Colts the advantage 21-14 over the Raiders, with 1:14 remaining in the first half, and the Raiders were forced to call their second time out.

With time running out in the second quarter, Dave Casper ran a swift 32-yard kick return, but he was tackled by Raymond Berry on the kickoff. The Raiders ran out of time ending the first half with the score Colts 21 Raiders 14.

The Raiders opened the second half with a 60-yard kick return by Dave Casper setting up Las Vegas running back  Bo Jackson who's had a great day rushing. Jackson had 114-yards in the first half including a 32-yard touchdown run. On his first run of the second half Jackson ran for 15 yards, but then he was stopped on three straight plays by the Colts hard hitting defense. On 4th down, the Raiders went for the first down and a wide open Tim Brown ran a 25-yard touchdown Play into the end zone to tie the score at 21-21, with 6:21 left in the third quarter. It's a tight game and both teams are playing outstanding!
 
Wow! The Colts beat the clock up in the third quarter after a 47 yard kick return by Joseph Addai the Raiders defense stopped Addai on his first two runs. Coach Bino decided to air it out striking receiver Marvin Harrison on a 60-yard strike! Harrison exploded down the right side of the field into the end zone to give Indianapolis the lead 28-21 to end the third quarter! The Raiders had a lot more in the tank, opening the 4th quarter with a 43-yard kick return by Dave Casper. On first down Bo Jackson was unstoppable as he ran for another first down, 12 yards. On second down, Jackson exploded through the middle of the field for 45 yard touchdown scamper to tie the score 28-28 with 11:37 remaining in the game. The Raiders have been unbelievable in the running attack. Surprise!

When the Colts got the ball back they worked on killing the clock with Joseph Addai with the Indianapolis offense controlling the ground game. Addai returned the football 43 yards. On first down, It was  Addai again, this time running for a 30-yard run for the first down. On the next set of downs Addai had six runs totaling 18 yards, bringing the ball to the 9-yard line of the Raiders. The Raiders were forced to use both of their timeouts. Bino went to one of his two gems at receiver.  Raymond Barry came up big again! On third down Berry caught a 9-yard touchdown pass to give the Colts the lead 35-28 with 22 seconds remaining in the game with no timeouts left for the Raiders.
Las Vegas tried to hurry up the offense to give Dave Casper One More Chance, but they could not make it happen. The Raiders (4-4), lose the AFC Wild Card Game 35-28, to the Colts in a great game!

The Indianapolis Colts (7-1) plays the winner of Miami and Buffalo game! The Raiders can be proud of a valiant effort! They played beautiful this year and they will be back next year for more. The surprise of the day was the Colts receiving game who they've been hiding all season long and that shows you weapons the Colts have. Unleashing them today won the Indianapolis Colts the game!
Colts LIEFL All-Pro Joseph Addai finished the game  with 15 touches for 411 all-purpose yards with two touchdowns! He had 10 rushes for 178 yards, and five kick returns for 233 yards! Raiders running back Bo Jackson rushed for 186 yards on 15 carries against a very good defense!
