Lucas Oil Stadium

Lucas Oil Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It replaced the RCA Dome as the home field of the NFL's Indianapolis Colts and opened on August 16, 2008. The stadium was constructed to allow the removal of the RCA Dome and expansion of the Indiana Convention Center on its site. The stadium is on the south side of South Street, a block south of the former site of the RCA Dome. In 2006, prior to the stadium's construction, Lucas Oil Products secured the naming rights for the stadium at a cost of $122 million over 20 years. The venue also serves as the current home for the United Soccer League's Indy Eleven, as well as the home of the Drum Corps International Championships since 2009.

Indianapolis, Indiana. This Long Island Electric Football League division rivalry between the Tennessee Titans (2-2) and the Indianapolis Colts (3-1) is a huge game with playoff implications! If the unpredictable Titans win, they tie for first place in the AFC South. We all know that the Minnesota Vikings defense is excellent. Well, Tennessee running back Eddie George rushed for 107 yards against the tough "Purple People Eater" defense of the Vikings, which means this game will be no easy win for the Indianapolis Colts. But Colts Coach Billy O'C has some fierce offensive weapons.

This week features running back Joseph Addai. Addai has been a Hall of Fame running back in the LIEFL in the past six years. He is currently ranked #3 in the AFC in rushing with 405 yards, with 6 touchdowns, and he is top five in total yards with 955! Where O'C's Colts have improved is in the running game. Addai has mastered two games with one hundred yards rushing this season, 135 against Jacksonville in Week#1, and 157 yards against the NY Jets in Week #3. This is the same guy who on November 26, 2019, in the huge playoff spot last season, Addai exploded on 26 carries for 560 total yards with four touchdowns in the Colts Wild Card loss to Oakland, 38-34! It doesn't end there. Both Raymond Berry and Marvin Harrison at wide receiver are explosive and dangerous players who can win a game in one play. The Colts have to rise to the occasion and the Titans have to play at a Super Bowl level to match the Colts firepower. And who did the Colts lose to? The Chicago Bears, 21-17 on September 11th! This year's Bears are on a rampage in the league, and are voted by the LIEFL coaches as "the most dangerous team" in the 2020, LIEFL this season.

The anticipation and excitement started well before the game.

On a great kickoff by the Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis All-Pro running back Joseph Addai, ran the opening kickoff 64-yards to the Tennessee 36-yard line! On first down the Indianapolis front three paved the way for a slashing Addai run for three yards, and the war in the trenches between these division rivals began! But, on second down Addai exploded, taking the ball to the Titans 15-yard line for a first down with 11:37 left to go in the half, with time being consumed by the Indianapolis running game and Coach Billy O'C, the clock master! The Colts kept driving the football after three minutes of clock eating! Addai went right back at it! On first down Addai barreled ahead to the three yard line for a 12-yard gain!  The Indianapolis front line ran right through Tennessee leading to a Joseph Addai 3-yard touchdown run, making the score 7-0, with 8:03 left to go in the half!

Tennessee's Brandon Jones returned the following kickoff 43 yards. On both first and second down for the Titans, the defense for the Colts destroyed the Titans front three, for a 20-yard loss! Billy O'C's hard-hitting Colts played some hard-nosed playoff style defense!
And just as we thought that, Enron Kenny caught a beautiful pass for 33-yards from Tannenhill for the first down, bringing the ball all the way to the Indianapolis 45-yard line with 1:31 left to go in the first half!  The first half ended with one more run from Tennessee's Eddie George for two yards, as George ran the ball to the 43-yard line. On second-down, George ran 17-yard run for another first down, bringing the ball to the Colts 28-yard line, with 14:37 left to go in the game!

The Titans were stopped on two straight runs by that Indianapolis front line led by Bubba Smith, forcing a third down pass play with 10:12 left to go in the game! And the Colts defense shut down Tennessee at the 41-yard line on the next play, with fourth down on the line, but the Titans decided to kick the field goal from 41-yards away to make the score 7-3, Indianapolis in the lead with 9:11 left to go in the game!
COLTS3ART.thumb.jpg.17a09de332bb2bb4372bd260b9f88b87.jpgIt seemed as though Indianapolis Coach, Billy OC's Colts figured out this tough Titans team as Joseph Addai exploded for a 55-yard kick-return! On the first play from scrimmage the Titans defense came up big! The Colts lost five yards on the play as the stop clock kept running down, with 5:50 left in the game. Tennessee came up big again, stopping Addai on second down! On third down, Addai ran around the right side for a nine-yard pickup, just one yard short of the first down, leaving fourth down up to quarterback Ryan Tannenhill to get this team the first down. Tannenhill threw a great pass to Marvin Harrison on the right sideline as Harrison ran 28-yards for the first down to the Tennessee 8-yard line! On the very next play with the clock nearly out of time, it was Harrison again, this time grabbing an 8-yard pass running it into the end-zone as Indianapolis dominated Tennessee, 14-3! Game over!

Indianapolis Joseph Addai finished the day with 165 yards and a touchdown! It was all Indianapolis!  The Colts (4-1), head to Houston to play another division game against the Houston Texans. Indianapolis has a chance to win five games, and possibly even six, as they finish the season at home against Jacksonville.
