LONG ISLAND ELECTRIC FOOTBALL LEAGUE NEWS. February 3, 2023. The LIEFL has a new Coach!  Braggart and Coach Bobby Biggs is VOTED in! Biggs will now inherit play with the Buccaneers, the Saints, the Jaguars and the Seahawks! Coach Joey Pizz, Kevin Mac, Paddy Brannigan and Levi Vick will all lose teams due to the vote.

All Business: League Dues are $250 which adds up to $2500 for the league. Next years Super Bowl XVIII pay-pool will be $1800 to the winner and $1400 to the runner up again. The game will be held on Long Island, and our sponsor is still in for extra's! Joe Bino will hold the Super Bowl in his huge basement, filled with electric football memorabilia.

Also, the league voted down the one-stop rule for the third straight season. We remain a one-stop league. We don't allow any other human interference to impact the free-flowing continuity of our game in terms of stops and adjustments. No sticks, no dice, no turns, no added times that delay the fast paced speed of the game, and the set-up time in the league is now 35 seconds, down from 40 seconds. We have strict 11-man rosters, bring the best mentality and play hard.

LEAGUE CHANGES: 

Some hard-hitting Draft Picks have been vetted against our best players in the league after being beat up by our practice squad and All-Pro's. These player bases have been tested hard in the Long Island EFL Draft. After spending a three meetings at Coach Joey Pizz' vetting the new player bases, the league is close to the player base selection "showing" of 30 player bases out of hundreds.

We think it is a fair assessment criteria we use in determining who will be number #1 picks on offense based on how many player base bottoms can run the 100-yard dash consecutively vs. the 50 yard dash consecutively. Tyreek Hill when he was selected by Coach Matt Zoo-York had a record 13 100-yard returns consecutively to become the #1 pick. Who will it be this year? One of the above teams!

We have 15 potential offense picks, and 15 defensive picks for the top ten overall teams selected to receive the new player base bottoms. The remaining batch of player bases go in two large buckets for any coach to go through to find the best of the best players and bases to put on the field for next season. 

The record for 100 yard run backs in a row in this pool of player base selections is 10 straight, without going out of bounds. Two bases were able to perform this task at LIVE game speed as if it were a game. Then the next set of runbacks is a 50-yard dash using the same performance criteria. The 100 record was 9, 9, 8, 8, 8, 7, 7, 6, 6, 6, and 5 for the amount of consecutive 100 yard runbacks by the bases. Then they do a runback scenario against our practice squad (a beat up set of players no longer used). Finally we use our best players in the league to vet TTC defensive players and lineman, linebackers, and tackles. 

For the Linemen it is much more difficult to determine a fist round pick from the new TTC player bases.
