Philadelphia Eagles Harold Carmichael (17), the top return man last year in the Long Island Electric Football League record-breaking season with eleven 100-yard touchdown returns, takes back his third 100 yard touchdown of the game with 50 seconds left in the game to beat the two-time defending LIEFL Super Bowl Champion Los Angeles Rams 28-21!

August 12, 2020. Philadelphia, PA. It seems we've been here once before. It was a COVID-Safe full house to watch this game as the action-packed excitement of both the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles played an intense Long Island Electric Football Week #2 Game, which brought two premiere and exciting teams to the table in a rematch of last season's NFC WIld Card Game won by Los Angeles 38-34! "When you are tense from an electric football game, that feeling only comes to anyone who plays on a team that performs without direction, guided by their own will. Sometimes we feel like the players are talking to us, well ... Harold Carmichael's strut is one of a kind, and today he did the talking and left it on the field," said Matt "Zoo-York" Mulqueen.

Mulqueens high-flying Eagles stepped-up their game as Mulqueen engineered the best coaching performance of his LIEFL career! This has to go down as another historic game involving the Rams, this time on the losing end in a mind-blowing performance by Philadelphia's Harold Carmichael!  Carmichael played to perfection with a record three 100 yard kick returns for touchdowns in the game, outplaying this great Coach Billy O'C, and his 2018 and 2019 LIEFL Super Bowl XVI and XV Champion Rams! Carmichael finished with three touchdowns and an incredible 338 yards! Second best only to Detroit's Dexter Bussy this season who had 499 yards against the Bears in Week#1!

The grudge match is not over yet, as these two teams may be meeting again in the NFC playoffs as Coach Billy O'C's Rams battle for their third straight title. The Eagles opened the game up with a hundred-yard kick-return for a touchdown by Superman Harold Carmichael, in a sensational run which Carmichael started out to the right side of the field, and then he turned right down the center of the field speeding right past Los Angeles LIEFL All-Pro lineman Chris Long for the touchdown as though he had a mind of his own!  Coach Billy O'C said, "Mulqueen is a great coach.  In all of my years of playing this game, I never saw a play like that, and man, coach brought his game. Carmichael just left me speechless with the talent he has. Carmichael is the best player we have ever faced. He got even better if that's possible since the Wild Card Game. I love this kind of competition!" The Eagles started it up, 7-0 in an electrifying game with two teams who have become fierce rivals!

On the ensuing kickoff, LIEFL All-Pro, two-time MVP Isaac Bruce, took it back 56 yards, but was hit hard by Philadelphia lineman, Jerome Brown. After two short runs last year's Super Bowl XV MVP Wendell Tyler,  found an opening  and took it through his "Fabulous-Five" front line for a quick striking 43-yard touchdown downfield to tie the score 7-7!

On the Eagles next possession Carmichael sped downfield and was hit in a head-on collision with Ricky Proehl for 38 yards. The Eagles could not run the ball on Los Angeles. Keith Byars was silenced. A few plays later quarterback Carson Wentz tossed an incredible rocket-pass to receiver Irving Fryar  who showed his speed with a 70-yard touchdown catch to give Philadelphia the lead, 14-7, dusting the Rams defenders! Before the half ended the "Reverend" Isaac Bruce ran the ball back 47-yards giving Wendell Tyler and the Fabulous-Five great field position in scoring position.

The thrill of the competition continued in the second-half as the Eagles defense kicked-in as both coaches were in the heat of battle. Wendell Tyler at full-speed collided with Philadelphia's defensive tackle, Jerry Sisemore who made a huge hit on Tyler stopping him just short of a Rams first-down. Sisemore opened eyes with a powerful four tackles on the day. He made two consecutive tackles on Tyler, bringing Wendell Tyler down at the 26 yard line of the Eagles for another Rams first down. On third down the Rams capitalized on an open third-down specialist for the Rams, Ricky Prohel for a 27-yard touchdown play making the score, 14-14 with 6:12 left to go in the game. Tyler finished the day with 89 rushing yards and two-touchdowns! And another kick-off to the Eagles and the lethal Harold Carmichael.

OH MY GOD! Carmichael did it again! Carmichael blazed it right up the middle of the field exploding for a stunning 100-yard kick return, giving the Philadelphia Eagles the advantage on their home turf, 21-14 over the  Super Bowl Champion Los Angeles Rams, with 4:58 left to go in the game. Carmichael to this point had 238-yards in a game! He put on a clinic!

To make this rematch even more exciting, never count Billy O'C's teams out of the game. On the Rams' next kickoff return, Isaac Bruce exploded on an 86-yard return to the Philadelphia 11-yard line with 3:35 left to go in the game in back-to-back nail-biters today.  On the Rams first play from scrimmage in this set of downs, Tyler switches his direction and goes from left to right, faking out the Eagles for a 19-yard touchdown play, with the score tied, 21-21, with 2:20 left to go in the game.

This one's going down as one of the greatest in history for sure. Harold Carmichael with 50 seconds left ran back his third 100-yard kick return of the game putting the Eagles up 28-21 for good! Bruce, who finished the day with 166 kick-return yards, got one more chance to tie the game, coming up just short of a back-to-back hundred-yard returns as he's brought down for a 63-yard kick return and the Philadelphia Eagles in an amazing performance get revenge, 28-21 over the defending champion Los Angeles Rams in an absolutely super finish! The excitement in the league is incredible.  Each time we thought we had the best performances, they get even better! Carmichael is ramping up the yards again as we await the team who can stop him in his second year!  He has touched the ball six times and has totaled 510 yards with four 100-yard kick returns for touchdowns!  That is a lot of damage in two games! Mulqueen said, "We played a game of games today.  We have to continue to get better so we can win a championship."

Matt Mulqueen's  Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) are on fire! They play the Cincinnati Bengals (1-1) next week and then they are on to play San Francisco. Watch out, here come the Eagles! The Rams (1-1) played a tremendous game on the road as they head to Buffalo to play the Bills and then they play the New York Giants at home!
