I agree with nefgm as far as what is the strong or weak side.  On offense, I use a dice roll to decide whether the tight end is on the right or left, which results in strong side for both offense and defense, no matter which hash mark the ball is placed on.  Also, I usually put trips to the wide side of the field, although on certain plays I might put it on the weak side to create more confusion for the defense as to who to cover.

Oh ok great idea. Is the strong side wherever the TE is, even on the line or out wide? What about the number of players on each side? And in some cases the short side is the strong side

Trips would typically line up on the side away from the hash mark that the ball is spotted on because you have more room on that side of the field.

The strong side is typically the side that the TE lines up on.

In most play diagrams that you will see, the TE is typically lined up on the right side of the offensive line, but they can easily be reversed to run to the left as well.

    Hope this answers your question.

Thank you! I had this on my mind for a while. I ask about trips because I have also seen it on the short side of the field also.

  3. Hello guys,

I have 2 question that I need help getting clarity on.

    1. When calling plays on offense, where do you decide to lineup your tight end(s) or have “Trips” depending on which hash mark the ball is on on the field?

    2. On defense, how do you determine the “Strong Side” when the offense lines up?

I'm a little late to this, but I'm with Capanther.  I use my favorite players from each team, but if there is a conflict, I put the player on the team which he played the most years, the team he was best on, or just the team I think of when I see his name.  As everyone here has said, whatever floats your boat - it's your league.  Back when my high school team was in my league, I played some guys both ways because we did that back in the neanderthal days of leather helmets  and small teams 😃...I usually used two different figures - one on offense and one on defense- for each guy.

Thanks. Wow that’s interesting of using 2 different figures on offense and defense for the same player

I just use my favorite players from the 60s and 70s so there are many to pick from....maybe u have a team that is for example 85 bears only.....i could see that would be a problem.....i like to have my favorite players on my teams...regardless if their are players from 10 or 15 years apart....

    Makes sense.

It’s just a name and jersey number as far as your teams are concerned. They are physically different plastic figures on their own bases, right? This isn’t a problem at all, in my eyes at least.

So your Dallas defense and your Niners D both have Deion Sanders #21?

Yes, they have their own figures and bases.

Like I have TB12 on the Patriots and the Bucs, or Jalen Ramsey on the Jaguars and the Rams, etc etc.

You're right they aren't shown.  Maybe shoot them an email?  It's a great motor, one would be sufficient, and it just clicks to the underside of the board with magnets.

I did make my own remote switch for it using a momentary push-button switch and two regular extension cords.

Nice! I’ll definitely send them an email.

  8. Upgrading my board

    Hello all,

I’m looking to improve the performance of my 5ft by 26in electric football board. My end goal is to have the board running at a higher frequency so that players can move quickly and efficiently on all areas of the board. It can possibly increase the chances of the players knocking each other over. Also I want to add a timer so that the gameplay can be more consistent.

I’m currently using 4 motors (I don’t remember the exact model of them).

And this is a very of how it runs.

Please share your thoughts and advice on to how I can improve my board.

Hey Andre, if I'm too late, sorry. Both arguments are good but between the two, I am partial to Nick Foles, just me.

On the other semi-unrelated hand maybe a whole new entry for good vs. bad things about real players needs a start but that would not be about ELECTRIC football would it? 🙂 Just FYI, when I was 9, my dad took me to see my favorite San Francisco 49ers play Buffalo for my first ever professional football game. Pardon the pun but Buffalo ran all over my "niners" that day. 😞

Hey, it’s not too late. Thanks for sharing.

I really appreciate it!! I’m constantly trying to make improvements to my board and solitaire league. One day it’ll all pay off.

Being an Eagles fan, I have a soft spot in my heart for Nick Foles, the only quarterback to lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl win.  I liked his attitude and he seemed to put it all together in that magical year.  Also, don't forget, he had a season where he only threw 2 picks the whole season.  That being said, on a strictly ability and talent basis, I think you have to go with Michael Vick.  He had the wheels and the arm.  He was the real deal, despite his attitude towards dogs in his early years.

Thanks for sharing! That’s exactly why I’ve been back and forth in deciding who to pick.
