  1. I made some videos showing how I tweak my invisibases...

    Notes:

    1) You could substitute beans or rice for the feed corn in the mug.

    2) Crimping and then trimming is all I do for speed bases.

    3) The pictures at the end show my parallel smooth jaw Grobet pliers, jewelers pliers and flat front clippers.

    I’m torn between the 73 Bengals and the 75 Cardinals on my next order. Anyone dressed out the Bengals and can weigh in on how well the word mark on the helmet applies? I’m still feeling my way in being competent and don’t want a skill 5 project when I’m probably at a 3.

    The helmet wordmark is part of the larger helmet sticker, so no need to worry.

    Hi EF community

    I am a second year player and was wondering if anyone could provide me with Pro line base info? I have a few different sets of Rookie, TTC, and invisibases. I was curious to know if proline bases are worth purchasing performance wise and which PL bases may be best? There was a part of me that wanted to order 1 of each but there is the rational side who thinks that might be a bit of personal overkill at this point. Also if anyone is aware if Tudor plans to release updated uniforms? Unfortunately for me at this time I am a disheartened New York Giants fan but would love to see Tudor come out with there Whiteout uniform

    Thank you

    Nice.  I like it.
    Also It’s hardcore that you make your team practice in the snow too!

    Ha!  I actually had a couple of design concept fields laying around.  That one is plain white.  You can draw on it with dryerase/whiteboard markers.  It's cool to design a play or mark ball placement for passing.    I also just grabbed random players and set them up rather than two scrimmage teams... sorry if that makes it confusing!

  5. Here's a similar concept.  Two against seven.  In this concept the DL scrapes across the face of the G while letting the LT and C to go free.

    1) The DL scrape redirects the G and opens the gap between C and G;

    2) A backer swoops in to hit the gap and hits the QB;

    3) The DL is a looper and is helped into the backfield by the G, hitting the RB (in this video the DL is tad late but you get the idea) You can also add another LB to fill.

    4) You can add mirror this onto the other side as well and when its working it looks like a magic trick for the other coach.

    This concept can be helped even further by the tendency for most coaches to set their lineman to push either straight or to have the guard doubleteam with their OT on a DT

  6. To get even better results try using heated pliers.  Some people use a candle or coffee cup warmer to heat pliers.  I personally use a heating pad filled with rice.  I pop it into the microwave for about a minute and then set my pliers on the pad.

    The heat helps to soften the plastic for easier squeezing but it also anneals the plastic and helps it to retain its shape and hold the tweak better.

    If a warmer is used I like to let the base set for just a second on the flat surface to even it all out.

    I can tweak an entire solitaire league in a few hours using this method.  I have at least three pliers going at once.

    Roller,

    I’m trying to get back into the game after having discovered how it’s grown up since I played as a kid in the 70’s & 80’s.  Do you know if there re any leagues or clubs in the Dayton area?   I’d like to get hooked up with some experienced players so I can ra-learn the game correctly.

    Thanks

    There is an Ohio based league that I used to play with.  We would gather for weekend tournaments.  I don't know of any Dayton based leagues, but I know that there are several of us around.

  8. Got some games to report...

    My son consistently prevails.  I think it's that I he might not be so impartial in letting the action play out.  He changes and picks out his favorites the same way I did when I was a kid.  He thinks about logos, colors, and which mascot would actually win in a fight.  Somehow he believes that a Ram is all powerfull and would win against just about anything.

    Week 1

    Rams 20

    Titans 6

    Seahawks 7

    Bengals 8

    Steelers 14

    Ravens 17

    Cowboys 2

    Eagles 13

    The games were a ton of fun and my son is really learning how to play.  I can also see him learning some of the rules of real football along the way.  Bonus!

    Glad to hear about the promotion of the solitaire leagues. Count me and the Ohio River Football League in.
