I haven't actually painted them yet, but going by the two paints I bought, the Irish Babies color has a kind of greenish tint to it. I might repaint the entire figure instead of trying to colormatch the jerseys.

I have to look that one up--I actually like that color that you have, but Master Series might have what you are looking for.

I think ill play the raiders and jets tonight ....then play the super bowl early in the week....i have 2 sets of dark jets....im using the more common 3 stripe jets this game....the one stripe jets were made in the first run hoglegs in late 1968 ...much harder to find....the white raiders were one of the rarest of all hogleg teams....i guess millions if boys bought the black jersey ones and not near as many bought the white jersey version.

....eagles missed a 48 yd fg on last play of regulation....taylor scored the games first td and had a long run in overtime period that helped lead to short fg to win the game...bednarik didnt get to sit on him this time...good tough game.

Terrific Game--Pack is on their way!

    Hi Coaches and Forumites,

When I purchased the Union Jacks, I decided they could use some friends so I bought some Irish Babies white jersey pre-painted figs as well. I bought the two Gold paints that Tudor has, Dwarven Gold and Dragon Gold, with the intention of painting them All-Gold.

My question is, are either of these the correct Gold paint that Tudor uses?

    Thanks!

    Awesome work Paul!

KEEP THOSE GREAT PLAYER BASES COMING TUDOR!

I am a little late on getting this in, but so far in the first three weeks of competition, what we have seen is some excellent teams being beat by teams who have improved through the 250 new player base Draft that the LIEFL holds every January for the next season.  It's a very cool process.

Anyone whose team of the 12 teams in the playoffs, skips a Draft season while other teams get the chance to improve.  It is a very transforming process. What we are watching is an amazing league that keeps data and follows the performance of each player.  Last year, there were the top 35 or 40 Drafts available from the 250 lot we purchased from Tudor Games.  The rest were duds from either deformed player base bottoms, or just one's that could not compete in the training camp with the best blockers in the league. We bought the TTC and Rookie bases.

The BIG wins from the 2020 Draft so far have been Chicago's Willie Gault, Kansas City's Tyreek Hill, New York Jets Jamal Adams, Chicago's Don Hampton, Seattle's Brian Bosworth, the sensations, Carolina's Greg Jones, Tampa Bay's Jimmie Giles, Green Bay's Ray Nitschke, Baltimore's Tony Siragusa, and we can't forget the Denver Broncos font-line, all products of the Draft! So far the teams with the worse record are teams I did not expect, like San Francisco, but they will be the first to receive the best players from the Draft.  If a team is 2-5, they are allowed 4 new Draft Picks, but we do three rounds of drafts until we drain the purchased bottoms to vet the best usable bottoms that can compete.  It is so much fun! Houston, Dallas, San Francisco, Minnesota, Jacksonville, and New England are in the running for the top Drafts.  There are usually 25 Line Drafts and roughly 10 offensive runner Drafts to pick from the 250. Our 2017 Draft produced the Super Bowl Champion Buffalo Bills, and in 2018 the new LA Rams were born and revived with back-to-back Super Bowls. The Detroit Lions saw 3 straight NFC Championship Games and a Super Bowl victory.  We love the process and the results!

    GAME #3

    Friday Night Jamboree Game

    33. 16 Miami (2-0) at Jacksonville (0-2) 10 (OT 5:35) (MIA-Duper 3-195-0/70x2, JAC-Taylor 10-131-1/42)

     34. Washington (1-1) at Cleveland (1-1) This will be a tight one--I am going with the Browns!

    35. Las Vegas (1-1) at New England (0-2) Time for the Patriots to start winning again!

    36. San Francisco (0-2)at NY Giants (1-1) Giants will give 49ers' their third loss of the season. SF is in the doghouse after last year's brilliant run!  The Draft is huge in this league--great one season, average the next for the great teams.  I was wrong.  I thought this was SF's year!

    37. Houston (0-2) at Pittsburgh (1-1) Bring on the BUS! Steelers by a touchdown.

    38. LA Rams (1-1) at Buffalo (1-1) WOW! THIS WILL BE A GAME TO WATCH!  BILLS WILL COME UP BIG--IT WON'T PHASE THE RAMS--THEY WILL FINISH STRONG--GET READY FOR WAR! SIMPSON HAS TO HAVE A BIG DA!

    39. Tennessee (1-1) at Minnesota (0-2) Vikings need Draft picks for 2021--Tennessee will win in an upset!

    40. Cincinnati (1-1) at Philadelphia (1-1) Great game here!  Two rising teams! Eagles will be too much for the Bengals--Carmichael will have a big game!

    41. Chicago (1-1) at Atlanta (2-0) WOW! What a great match-up!  Two tough coaches and teams.  I am going with the Dirty Birds in OT!

    42. Carolina (1-1) at LA Chargers (1-1) Another great match-up!  Tomlinson will be on fire and rise to the competition's level!

    43. NY Jets (1-1) at Indianapolis (2-0) Colts in a close one!

    44. Tampa Bay (1-1) at Denver (1-1) Great match-up.  Davis and Broncos line will show Tampa Bay where they need to get to to beat the good teams.

    45. Detroit (1-1) at Arizona (2-0) Cardinals and Lions will be a great offensive war!  Cards will be 3-0!

    46. Dallas (0-2) at Seattle (1-1) Seahawks and Lynch on a roll will deliver the Cowboys their third loss.  Time for Dallas to make some changes.

    47. Green Bay (2-0) at New Orleans (1-1) This will be another great game.  I am going with Green Bay in the upset!

    Monday Night

    48. Kansas City (1-1) at Baltimore (2-0) Ravens are on fire.  They will beat KC!

  12. DOLPHINS HOOK JAGUARS 16-10 IN OT AS SUPER DUPER DOES IT AGAIN!

August 21, 2020. Jacksonville, Florida. After a long losing streak by the Miami Dolphins during the league's transition to the seven game season format in 2008, the Dolphins went back to the drawing board after 18 losses to get several huge first round draft picks that Coach Billy O'C won. Jason Taylor, AJ Duhe, and the superstar Mark Duper have transformed the Miami Dolphins organization in the Long Island Electric Football League, back to being a winner! The old player bases are no longer part of the team as they were generously distributed throughout the League and are now running backs. O'C said, It was the right thing to do.  I donated the bottoms to the worst performers in the league, and now they uplifted the coaches and the other teams.

These Dolphins are predicated upon a very strong trench-group of players who will not waver when the going get tough . They've played three games this season, two of them have been on the road. The sign of a very good team is one that can win on the road in this League.

For Coach Levi Vick, this game might be the Jacksonville Jaguars biggest challenge yet facing an undefeated Miami Dolphins team early on in the season. There may be no turning back if they lose this one to Miami. The Dolphins defense has played every down in the last two games as though it is their last of the season. Coach Billy O'C is determined.  He said, "After winning the big Kahuna six times in this league with Miami, this may be a new Dolphin era, but we are here to battle and even if we lose I have my guys motivated, especially in the road."

    THE GAME:
After a 42-yard kick return by Fred Taylor it took Jacksonville 8 plays to drive 58-yards downfield, where Taylor caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from Mark Brunell, eating up most of the clock for the first half with one minute left to go 7-0, Jaguars strike first!

The Dolphins had a beautiful kick-return by Mark Duper 55-yards at the Jaguar 45-yard line. Miami running back Mercury Morris, took over with three straight runs of 9, 8, and 10 yards to bring the ball to the Jaguar 17-yard line with 9:44 left to go in the game. After a three yard gain, Morris tore into the end-zone for a 14-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 7-7!

On the kick return Fred Taylor brought back 37 yards for the Jaguars and on the first two runs the Miami defense came up big as defensive tackle Manny Fernandez took down Fred Taylor behind the line of scrimmage for a 5-yard loss making it third down. For the second time on third down the Jaguars could not get the first down. Rookie fullback Connor Slomka fell just short of the first down, forcing the Jacksonville to kick a field goal to make the score 10-7, Jaguars, with one minute left to go in the game.

The Dolphin special teams unit came prepared. On the Miami's last kick return of the game with less than a minute Super Duper brought the ball back to the 30-yard line on a blazing 70-yard kick return to the Jacksonville 30 yard line where Miami kicked the field-goal to tie the game and send it into overtime.

Coach Billy OC's 2020 Dolphins have luck on their side as they won the coin toss it overtime! Miami got the ball back to fight for their third-straight win to keep them undefeated. Coach Vick played frantically to save his team from embarrassment and drowning for the remainder of the season as the LIEFL whipping boy. There is always one each year. Coach O'C's Miami Dolphins played that role for three straight seasons.

In overtime Miami's star, Duper, took the ball back 70-yards on the kickoff on an explosive return setting up Mercury Morris on the offense from 30-yards away. On 1st down Morris was stopped on a hard hit by Rob Meier, a big-time tackle who leads the league with seven tackles this season giving him his seventh tackle of the season. Meier is yet to be stopped by anyone in his first three games of the season.  Coach Vick thinks Meier is looking at some awards this year because nobody has been able to stop him. He's been like Jason Taylor of the Dolphins.

Coach Vick said, "If we just go back to those last two plays by Duper, he single-handily pulled off 140-yards in two plays. We cannot afford to allow that. With those kick returns Miami showed how explosive they can perform. Duper performs the way in Al-Pro should perform, carrying the team with his leadership." Vick said you cannot make any mistakes against Coach O'C.

As the Dolphins line swung left Mercury Morris took it to the right side on a game winning 25-yard touchdown as the Dolphins defeated the Jaguars for Miami's third straight victory 16-10, in 5:35 of OT!  Duper was the star!  He had 195 yards, and Morris rushed for 74 yards with two touchdowns!  Miami (3-0)goes back home to battle against the Seattle Seahawks, for their 4th straight win next week, and Jacksonville (0-3) is on the road against Cincinnati (1-1)

  13. RAIDERS CASPER HEROIC AGAIN WITH HUNDRED YARD OPENING KICKOFF TO BEAT NEW ORLEANS!

    2131306179_raiders3.thumb.jpg.6692828ee9b4796fb5feabe4a9201ee6.jpg

Las Vegas Raiders (1-1) Dave Casper's (87) great habits directs the Raiders to victory over a tough New Orleans Saints team 10-3 in a defensive war!

August 20, 2020. Las Vegas Nevada. With Week#2 coming to a close we have seen some great coaching with electric football at its best. That doesn’t mean that there is no work to be done. The Raiders move to Las Vegas hurt many people in Oakland as the Silver & Black crusaders take their attitude to a new town, sort of like the new Sherriff does when they arrive to clean house.  In this Long Island Electric Football League, the Raiders come with a rich history.

Kevin “Mac” Maloney is not a favorite coach of Slawson’s Corner, the league predictor, but at 6’4” the guy’s hands can barely hold the player figures. The things we take for granted are engaging. Maloney said, “This game kept me out of lots of trouble as a kid. I just never imagined that Tudor Games would go worldwide like they have in such a classy way. We made something of the game and its special because these guys in this league are committed and embedded.” Maloney’s Raiders won Long Island Electric Football League Super Bowl XI in 2008, beating the New York Giants 27-21, in one of the most dramatic Super Bowl’s in LIEFL history. Raiders specialist Dave Casper opened the game with a hundred-yard touchdown and then closed the game with a walk-off hundred-yard touchdown to seal-the-deal, $750 prize money that was matched by USA World Champion Swimmer Greg Jagenberg, a huge supporter of the league!

Maloney said, “That game was the best game we ever played and Casper had 320 all-purpose yards, but when he did what he did, he was my instant star to be respected for the life of the game!”

Tonight’s game was a huge challenge.  The New Orleans Saints are extreme.  They are a group of rising stars in the league. After the 2018 Draft the Saints have been rebuilding with a stronger front-line and passing game. A few years back Jeremy Shockey was the leader in receptions, but Coach Paddy Brannigan said this team with Reggie Bush will get to the playoffs if they develop a better running game.  He said, “Bush is sporadic, and that is

On the opening kickoff, the fireworks got started early in dramatic fashion as Raiders specialist, legendary Dave Casper sliced right up the middle of the field for a hundred-yard touchdown! Casper, who had only 66 yards last week in the Raiders loss to the Carolina Panthers 14-7, showed that he's back in business for Las Vegas home opener! Raiders in the lead, 7-0!

New Orleans Reggie Bush was hit hard on a 37-yard kick return by big Howie Long setting up the saints first running play.

Helmets will be crashing in this game as the Saints (1-0) are coming off a Week#1 victory making it three in a row for the Saints carrying over from last year. On the first play from scrimmage Reggie Bush exploded 34 yards to the Las Vegas 29 yard-line as the New Orleans front-line overpowered the Raiders for a huge first down.

After Reggie Bush's big run the Raiders defense steamrolled the Saints for an 11-yard loss, pushing New Orleans back to their own 40-yard line as defensive lineman Lyle Alzado plastered Bush breaking through the Saints linemen.

Things weren't going right Coach Brannigan as you could see the frustration in his face trying to peel the layers back quietly. On third down Drew Brees missed a wide-open Jeremy Shockey, forcing New Orleans to kick a field-goal. The Saints missed the field goal on 4th down as the Coach Maloney’s Raiders took over at their own 43-yardline!

The Raiders went to the air, as Ken Stabler hit Las Vegas receiver Tim Brown from for a huge pick-up of 30 yards as they drove to the New Orleans 40-yard line for the first down. With 48 seconds left and a half coming to a close Bo Jackson had a beautiful 16-yard run down to the Saints 22-yard line for the first down.

The Saints played some very sloppy football. To come back in this game, they have to rise to the occasion and not let this game get out-of-reach. On the next set of downs, the New Orleans defense came up big, stopping the Raiders short of the first down, forcing Las Vegas to kick a field-goal make the score 10-0, Raiders with 10:57 left to go in the game!

On the kickoff Reggie Bush took it back 39 yards on a short return. Las Vegas was going to make sure that New Orleans earned every inch of the field as their relentless defense pressured the Saints to perform and compete. After realizing the run was not going to work, Brannigan aired it out again with a Brees to Darren Sproles pass on third down for a 17-yard first down to the Raider 33-yard line with 3:09 left to go in the game!

The Raiders defense came up big again! They stopped the Saints at the 28 yard-line, forcing them to kick a field-goal to score their only points of the game as the Raiders walk off the field with a huge win over a very hardy team 10-3!  Great coaching and defense as the Las Vegas Raiders (1-1) travel to New England to face the New England Patriots (0-2).  Coach Brannigan’s Saints (1-1) have a big game against Coach Viggs Green Bay Packers (2-0) at home!

I think another consideration for timing is whether you are playing a multi-stop league vs a league with one or two stops. In the FAT8 for example, you have the initial formation (I don't remember how long it is, but I think it's 35 seconds), then (I think) 10 seconds to adjust/pivot/motion, a quick on/off to simulate a snap, and then another adjustment period of 5 seconds, run the board again for routes or a RB cutback, and then a stoppage for after-catch/crossing the line of scrimmage adjustments.

If that's your set up, timing is definitely of the essence. If you're just doing one or two stops, then you might consolidate a couple of those steps to save board stops and therefore have more time between stops. Your League seems to fall somewhere in between the two.

  16. SEAHAWKS LYNCH 76-YARD TOUCHDOWN RUN BURIES PATRIOTS!

    540131918_pats4.thumb.jpg.12ecc11504893373df060f9444a5c3a8.jpg

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch (24) explodes for a 76-yard touchdown run to give Seattle the advantage against a tough New England Patriots team.

August 21, 2020. Seattle,Washington. Football should have no politics. The Long Island Electric football league has its challenges in many ways. In 2016 during the early stages of our 7-game season format, the New England Patriots were one of the best teams that year. In fact they won the AFC championship and made it to LIEFL Super Bowl XII, losing to the battle-harned NFC Detroit Lions 42-17 in a Lion romp!  On paper it was a great match-up but once Detroit's Dexter Bussy got hot, it was over.

The Patriots have been steady in the East Division, but they haven't been able to get back to the a better performing team then what won them that AFC Championship in 2016. Coach Levi Vick said, "I am frustrated with this team, but I love the guys on the team.  Kevin Faulk was named All-Pro by the coaches, and I have made some changes since last week.  I just don't want to see them bow to Miami or Buffalo. We should be able to beat those teams, and we should play the Jets hard too.

Andrew Slawson of Slawson's Corner said, "With their backs against the wall the Patriots face a tough Seattle Seahawks team and the resurgence of the Seahawks offense with running back Marshawn Lynch, makes Seattle a fearsome team to be playing on the road. Don't forget, last week Seattle lost to Atlanta 17-14, but Lynch unleashed 118 yards rushing with two touchdowns! He also had an explosive 59 yard touchdown run in that game, so the Patriots have their hands full, and I don't think they will stop #24 today."

Coach Paddy Brannigan has his Seahawks ready! "Yeah baby! We want that jackpot at the end of the season and I think this team has a shot," said Brannigan.
On the opening kickoff Seattle All-Pro running back Marshawn Lynch took the ball back 37-yards with some energy. Lynch had five consecutive runs of 10, 5, 12, 26, and finally a 10-yard touchdown putting the Seahawks ahead 7-0, with 5:16 left to go in the half!

In this game of Electric football we have to rise to the occasion when you taking on a tough team. The Patriots acted like Patriots and they came storming back with nine plays into the end-zone on a terrific catch by All-Pro utility Back, Kevin Faulk for a 30-yard touchdown to tie the game 7-7 with 7:45 left to go in the game!

Seattle was determined to stop the Patriots with a test of their own--stopping the elusive Lynch. After a 24-yard kick return and being stopped on first down, Lynch broke loose and went into "Beast-Mode" for an early season record 76-yard touchdown run into the end-zone on an absolutely spectacular breakout play for the Seahawks, making the score 14-7!

What a game! On the kickoff the Patriots refused to fade out and be intimidated by Brannigan and his Seahawks. Rob Gronkowski scorched through the center of the field for a  amazing hundred-yard return to tie the game at 14-14, with 3:22 left in the game!

As time ran out on the Seattle Seahawks they were forced to kick a record 62-yard field goal to win the game 17-14 in a hard-fought intense battle! Marshawn Lynch had 139 yards and two-touchdowns on 8 carries along with 61 yards on kick returns, totaling 200 yards!  The "Gronk" had 137 yards on special teams for New England with a touchdown as the Pats go to (0-2) and they play the Raiders (0-1)at home.Coach Vick's Dallas Cowboys (0-2) will play Brannigan again next week at Seattle in a war next week! Lets see who plans better!
