Which team name do you like best?

  1. 1. I have one team that rides on ITZ bases. They are tweaked, painted, and ready to play in my next season. Which team name do you prefer? Pictures are attached.

    • The Tops (short for Triceratops) Dinosaur-named teams are missing from the NFL and college, yet everyone likes Jurassic Park. The triceratops is an easily recognizable mascot.

    • The Taz (short for Tasmanian Devils) We grew up watching Warner Brothers Looney Tunes and the Taz is an apt representative of Bugs, Daffy, and the Saturday morning gang.

I named the team the Triceratops.

I anticipate announcers (who live in my crowded head and sound remarkably like Howard Cosell and Dandy Don Meredith) will call them the Tops, like they called the Buccaneers the Bucs.

Taz is a great name for a dog. Rhodesian Ridge Back? Terrier? Australian Shepherd? The Taz will become a team sometime in the future. Here's the 747 team jet airliner.

For this season the Triceratops lowered the boom on the Oughtin' Otters in the Tops' inaugural game.

 

The Triceratops' 747 team plane is the latest in Avant-Garde team comfort and styling.
