Need your help!!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, need your help about my upcoming solitaire season (32 teams, 6 games per team)

Here's the dilemma..

Do i need to wait the NFL painted teams or do i go with the Uni-forms sets?

My main question: Are they easy or hard to make the Uniforms teams? How long does it takes (one familiar with it) to create a set of 11 players?

Does it worth the pricing or should i go with the NFL painted teams (once available..and i know that i'll have to pay for the NFL stick-on numbers as well...)?

Money is not an issue, but i don't want to take a whole week to create a team. Also if i choose to go with the NFL painted teams, do you think that Tudor will do some packages deals (conference and even buy the whole bunch of 64 teams)?

Any help will be very appreciated, will finalize the rules shortly to get a game done real fast and score realistic. To give you an idea, this will be a mix of the TAP rules as well as Reg Ruthledge (the box) rules and some of my canadian buddy Dom Froome and the KC chart (for plays)

Chat to you soon, cheers, Ben from Montreal

I've never seen the Reg Rutledge (the box) rules. Are they posted somewhere? Maybe on the Museum webpage?

I'm embarrassed to admit it but I haven't seen the KC chart for plays? I've seen many playbooks that show just formations, but not play development. Is the KC chart like that?

Thanks in advance. Enjoy the Journey.  T43.  🏈♾️

Here go go, see below

Play Diagrams (5).pdf

What i did is i divided the diagrams by4 or 5 for each diagrams and once the set-up is done then i roll one dice in offense and 1 dice in defense to get players pivoted (always offense first and then defense) to get more realism to the plays. I also create my chart (coming soon) for kickoffs with the new NFL rules as well as punting and FG. As for penalties, i'll send you my chart (coming soon too...maybe after my vacation in early october)

Cheers, Benster from north of the border

Greetings Ben.  I've done quite a few Uniforms now, and think they look pretty good when done well.  They still take me about 20 -25 minutes to complete a player but I've been satisfied with the results.  There's a big improvement from my first few attempts to my latest teams.  I do like the options of all the alternative uniforms and actually like applying them.   It is definitely a bit time consuming and there is a learning curve to get good at it.

I'm also excited to see what's available when the painted teams show up.  Curious about the price and options also.  Division sets would be cool.  Hopefully they show up soon.  That would be an easier way to go and the quality should be good.  I've also bought some generic painted teams from Tudor and converted them to NFL teams with some paint.

What he said!
I’ve put together over 80 Uni-Forms kits and I really love the process. That being said, even with the experience, it does take a bit of time. I could do a whole team well in under 4 hours if I wanted to work at it. As it is, I like to take my time and enjoy the journey!
I am impatiently waiting on the pre painted teams! I’m curious to the price point and options also. It can’t be long, can it?

Journey On!
