Week 3: MICHIGAN @ OHIO ST.

After a dominating performance at home against Penn State, Michigan will now travel to take on old time rival Ohio State Buckeyes. The Buckeyes have been pretty disappointing so far this year getting upset by Penn St. then losing a close one to Oregon. The 0-2 Buckeyes look ahead at Michigan as a good team to bounce back against and hopefully get some steam going into the back half of the season in a couple weeks. The O/U is 60.5 and Michigan is a 5.5 point favorite.

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

M: QB T. Watson: 18/21, 367 yds, 4 TD

O: WR W. Carlson: 3 cat, 177 yds, 3 TD

Michigan is back for dominance as they continue where they left off. It seemed as though Ohio St. was going to drive down and score easily until QB Shawn Ritter throws his second INT of the season in the red zone to none other than All American Safety Kris Lott(yes he’s named after ronnie lott). Anyways Michigan follows up the turnover with a pass to WR Laquandre Phillips then a quick out route to John Aggie which he takes 55 yards to the house. Michigan leads early 7-0.IMG_0812.thumb.jpeg.5cc1ab283f51750594e33fef1ecb309e.jpegIMG_0813.thumb.jpeg.aea12a9a43c8e36c93970dc61d69624d.jpeg

MICHIGAN’S OUTSTANDING DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCE CONTINUES!!! Ohio St. once again seemed to be getting a little something going with back to back first downs when all of a sudden they find themselves behind the chains due to a sack by sophmore DT Carl Barlow. On 3rd and long Shawn Ritter is forced to throw under immense pressure and even better coverage, and what do you know who’s lurking there behind the receiver and corner again? Safety Kris Lott for his second INT of the game as Ritter over throws it and he gets a nice return until he’s eventually brought down by Ritter. Michigan has it in the red zone with 5 plays left in the half and each team with 3 timeouts.IMG_0820.thumb.jpeg.43cef53ccfd7af6ff178e4c97fdcd774.jpegIMG_0821.thumb.jpeg.a6102bc7822cbf2317ce0ad72996ebe3.jpegIMG_0822.thumb.jpeg.6406f0b46943791651ae7c1a1ea2386f.jpegIMG_0824.thumb.jpeg.a868a02543698e8ca7b6a05cb48de3c7.jpeg

I was able to speak to coach(aka my brother) who is the recruiter, play designer, and depth chart manager. He says “All we have to do is keep our heads high, get our playmakers the ball, and get stops… possibly make some changes.” that does not refer to starting QB Shawn Ritter however as he still believes he has what it takes to knock off Michigan for the first time in OSU electric football history.

coming out at the half Michigan receives the ball. Ohio St. finally finds a stop and forces a punt. Ohio St. QB Shawn Ritter is able to find a lane and run in for their first TD of the game. Michigan 14 OSU 7 they’re still in it. Michigan though seems to put the dagger in OSU after a huge run from RB Doug Brown, but they score a little too soon with a pass to WR John Aggie giving OSU a chance to score get the ball back and score again. It’s a tall task but anything is possible in EF. Michigan 21 OSU 7IMG_0832.thumb.jpeg.df6e5709fff84b48bdb13975018979f8.jpeg

OSU drives down field on the next possession which feels like their first true drive of the season here in week 3. They cap off the long drive with a TD pass to a wide open Xavier Lovett. Michigan 21 OSU 14. All Michigan needs to do is get a first down to ice the game and on a close call the refs award RB Doug Brown the first down on a 10 yard rush.

Player of the game: Kris Lott - 4 tack, 1 tfl, 2 INT

FINAL: Michigan 21 OSU 14

STATS:

Michigan:

T. Watson: 4/4, 117 yds, 3 TD

D. Brown: 4 car, 68 yds

J. Aggie: 2 cat, 70 yds, 2 TD

Ohio State:

S. Ritter: 10/14, 132 yds, 1 TD, 2 INT

J. Burnham: 10 car, 32 yds

N. Strickland: 4 cat, 53 ydsIMG_0835.thumb.jpeg.d2c582a80396db7ca4774c40b0cfa2f4.jpegIMG_0837.thumb.jpeg.763ab1c75a6e651b00c290c47d0076b4.jpegIMG_0838.thumb.jpeg.ac3f4e8165943f4b92c7e23b64d219f7.jpeg

would you guys say Michigan is the best defense in the country? Through 3 games they have allowed 17, 3, and 14 for a total of 34 points, 6 sacks, and forced 4 INTs. we all know how offensive the game of EF can get easily turning into shootouts but this is an impressive team that seems to fly around the field and always have heads near the ball. what are your thoughts on this defense?

I'd say — without hesitation — they are the best defense in your Electric Football universe!  😃👍

P.S. In the T43 universe I'm certain my Fruit Bowl Champion GTO have a much better defense and offense. This is how the newspapers described the GTO offense,

… some newspapermen call our attack ‘four yards and a cloud of dust.' But we don't care what the offense is called as long as it wins football games. I'm willing to take four yards on every play and force the other guy to make mistakes.

Will you change the dreads for next year's crop of freshmen? Or do the dreads come with the number 29?

some players have red and some have black but i want to ad some next year with brown and perhaps like blonde. even have some where it’s just curls hanging out out the back. i’m getting creative with season 6 even though it’s a long ways away😃
