To close out week 2 we have the 1-0 Penn St. Nittany Lions traveling to Ann Arbor to take on The 1-0 Wolverines in the big house. Penn St. is coming off of an upset win 27-24 over Ohio St. where QB Doug Sanders proved he’s deserving of being a starting QB after all of the off season questions surrounding the first year starter. Throughout the offseason people said Sanders is not a QB that can lead a team to a championship, he completed 8/11 passes for 134 yard 1 TD and topped it off with 34 rushing yards and a TD. Michigan also 1-0 is coming off of a win over Oregon, they are led by QB Tavon Watson who threw for 224 yards and 2 TDs in his last outing. Michigan is a 6 point favorite with the O/U being 52.5:

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

QB T. Watson: 8/11, 224 yds, 2 TD

WR A. Bends: 4 cat, 86 yds, 1 TD

So far the game is going as i expected, Michigan forced Penn St. to punt the ball in the first possession already opening up with 2 sacks then QB Tavon Watson scores on a huge 64 yard TD run to go up 7-0. The next possession QB Doug Sanders is picked off by transfer CB Patrick Butler. Penn St. was just called for a big pass interference that put Michigan inside the red zone.

SCORE: MICH 7 PSU 0

Thanks for keeping us up to date on your season, Coach JayetheKxng.

I noticed in this picture that a player is sitting on felt (I think).

image.png.aa3db41b1c6a82417aab44b6afc2f4d4.png  Is that the Michigan Quarterback? Or a Michigan safety?

I like the blue and green magnets you use as yard markers. 😃👍.        I use a cheerleader.

The Forum seems quiet right now but if you look at the views for the Texas v Auburn game you can see a lot of people are watching your games.

i appreciate the engagement coach Terry, yes that’s the Michigan Safety Kris Lott sitting on a felt that keeps furniture from scratching the floors, i like to use them for zone coverage a lot. also the blue and green magnets are the best because I can really see the LOS and first down. More game updates to come🙏🏽

Following the pass interference penalty Michigan draws up a quick rpo to WR John Aggie who is hit hard by Devin Campbell the Safety who committed the PI. 2 plays later RB Doug Brown uses patience to find a hole and score the TD to put Michigan ahead 14-0.

Michigan defended their turf in dominating fashion, defeating Penn St. 35-3 the biggest blowout of the season so far and one of the biggest blowouts in CEFB history. Out the gate Watson opened with a pass to Aggie, which was followed up by a TD run from RB Doug Brown. Penn State was unable to get anything going in their next drive as the Michigan defense was flying around the ball. After forcing the 3 and out Watson methodically drives down field picking apart the PSU defense first with a pass on a dig route to WR TJ Gander then finishes off the drive with a TD pass to John Aggie going up 28-3. Michigan ends up scoring again in garbage time with a 12 yard TD pass to Laquandre Phillips III and win 35-3.IMG_0786.thumb.jpeg.b91af7d4fc1cd7becd966ab6f6c46fc9.jpegIMG_0786.thumb.jpeg.b91af7d4fc1cd7becd966ab6f6c46fc9.jpegIMG_0788.thumb.jpeg.409ca744efc7b24b06ef2c18bbfbb901.jpegIMG_0789.thumb.jpeg.81a88f2e97e6539ebaea9acafc1f119e.jpegIMG_0790.thumb.jpeg.31a06df90e08c93a406fad45f1613715.jpegIMG_0791.thumb.jpeg.1ec7c01dfd0382656faf18400c82c05d.jpeg

Quick question Coach Jaye, what constitutes defensive pass interference in your league? Also, keep those updates coming!

during the play when WR TJ Gander was trying to get separation the safety Devin Campbell flew in and hooked his arm which forced his direction to turn completely. it’s usually not called bc it’s not easy to call but this one was egregious and Gander was wide open.

this game almost showed how unfair this Michigan WR room can be but i have to see them against an elite defense.

Interesting. I like that. That hooking rule or some variation thereof will be up for consideration for Season 18.
