Hey Coaches, here's a sample of what Kyle did for me recently. If the figures look like different sizes, it's because they are, lol. My idea was to create teams that look more lifelike with regard to size by using 67 Big Men and Beenutts as well as an occasional ITZ figure to go along with the Haiti Repros....

The first two are offensive players, followed by the last two which are of course that legendary defense that gave opposing offenses nightmares 😨

The only K.N. Team I know I own is my custom painted Packers. They are Beenutt figures. The only way I know they were painted by him was a return address. The last teams I received had a Tudor address with no indication who painted them. They were all really excellent. I would like to know who’s art work they are, but don’t think I’ll ever know.

The truth is out there.

🤣 Amen! The Truth shall make you free....

Kyle is super cool to work with. I'm sure if you message him by email or text and let him know the date you received your team, he (and you) could probably figure out whether or not he did it. As far as I know though, his father sticks to the rest of the business stuff including tweaking bases, while Kyle specializes in the Leonarda Da Vinci category. 🧑‍🎨🎨🖌️

BTW, I forgot to list the players by name (and figure type) in case any coach is curious...

From left to right on offense: The man the myth the legend - Walter Payton (Haiti Repro), Matt Suhey (Beenutt), Keith Van Horne (67 Big Man), Jay Hilgenburg (Beenutt), Mike Ditka (Haiti Repro but was supposed to be 67 Big Man, and off camera - Gayle Sayers (Haiti Repro)

Reverse order for rear picture

On Defense (White Jersey): Gary Fencik (Haiti Repro), Mike Singletary (Beenutt), Richard Dent (67 Big Man), Steve McMichael (ITZ figure), Steve McMichael (67 Big Man), Dick Butkus (67 Big Man), Wilber Marshall (ITZ figure).

Reverse order for rear picture.

Also, since I just realized my phone doesn't zoom in well enough with attention to detail like my camera, here's a few of those players from a closer angle:

Offense (left to right): Ditka (Haiti Repro but should have been 67 Big man), The Center - Jay Hilgenburg (Beenutt) and FB Matt Suhey (Beenutt)

Defense: Steve MicMichael (ITZ figure), Dick Butkus (67 Big man) and Wilber Marshall (ITZ)

Better pics! All amazing. Leonardo DaVinci! 😂 it’s true, too! This hobby is just amazing at what coaches are able to do. I do not EVER get bored with it!

The Bears are so iconic. I’m not a Bears fan, but I do own my share of figures. They need to do well this year. It’s good for the league.

i'm a dyed-in-the-wool Packers fan, so I do not like da Bears either, but I agree the figures look really nice.

LOL. TBH, I wasn't a super huge Bears fan myself (and it's not like Buddy Ryan was the type of coach to attract anyone who wasn't already living in Illinois to begin with) - but that defense is legendary.

My goal is to construct an 8 or 10 team league centering around 1980's super bowl winners (with a few exceptions like the 66' Packers and late 70's Steelers), so I can't leave the Monsters of the Midway out of the lineup, right?

1980's super bowl winners

That will be an excellent League.

1980

Pittsburgh defeated the Los Angeles Rams 31-19 in Super Bowl XIV at Pasadena to become the first team to win four Super Bowls, January 20.

1981

Oakland defeated Philadelphia 27-10 in Super Bowl XV at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, to become the first wild-card team to win a Super Bowl, January 25.

1982

San Francisco defeated Cincinnati 26-21 in Super Bowl XVI at the Pontiac Silverdome, in the first Super Bowl held in the North, January 24.

1983

The NFC's number-one seed, Washington, defeated the AFC's number-two seed, Miami, 27-17 in Super Bowl XVII at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, January 30.

1984

The Los Angeles Raiders defeated Washington 38-9 in Super Bowl XVIII at Tampa Stadium, January 22.

1985

San Francisco defeated Miami 38-16 in Super Bowl XIX at Stanford Stadium in Stanford, California, January 20.

1986

Chicago defeated New England 46-10 in Super Bowl XX at the Louisiana Superdome, January 26.

1987

The New York Giants defeated Denver 39-20 in Super Bowl XXI and captured their first NFL title since 1956.

1988

Washington defeated Denver 42-10 in Super Bowl XXII to earn its second victory this decade in the NFL Championship Game.

1989

San Francisco defeated Cincinnati 20-16 in Super Bowl XXIII.

1990

San Francisco defeated Denver 55-10 in Super Bowl XXIV at the Louisiana Superdome, January 28. San Francisco joined Pittsburgh as the NFL's only teams to win four Super Bowls.

Those are some pretty good franchises there Coach. The only one I haven't had done yet is that team from the "Big Apple." But after I count on my fingers, that's only 5 teams and I'm aiming for 8 -10. Now, I did mention my league will be "based around" the 80's super bowl winners, so I've expanded my [criteria]. And I think I mentioned that I'm going with the 66' packers and one of those late 70's Steelers groups (I'm going by the calendar year of the regular season just FYI), but that still only accounts for 7 total.

So, here's something I thought E.F. coaches might enjoy seeing as they have good imagination combined with good practical logic. There were some teams from that era that fit into the category of "could'a, would'a, should'a," which is another way of saying they got close, and maybe only needed a couple of extra players that might've catapulted them to a win on Super Bowl Sunday.  One such team I like was the 85'-87' Cleveland Browns. So, it's kind of like fantasy football, in that we're going to add players to give them the tools they need to accomplish that objective. Obviously, anyone can add a dozen all stars to any team and make them good enough, so my goal is to add as few players as possible....

The Browns were the third team in history to have two 1,000+ yard plus rushers in the same backfield in 85', so their running game is their strongpoint. They took turns getting hurt the following two seasons, so they weren't able to duplicate that feat, but were still effective enough when running the ball. Additionally, they had an excellent tight end combined with a decent receiving corps. The only place they were potentially lacking was at QB (Bernie Kosar), so by adding Brian Sipe who retired just a few years prior, (but not before winning the league MVP in 1980), we improve the passing game a little bit. And then there's Eric Metcalf who came along a few years later, but would make an excellent addition because of his versatility at both half back and receiver (and KR). And that defense for the Browns was stout, so perhaps one key addition, Michael Dean Perry on the defensive line next to Bob Golic would give them what they need to get by those pesky Denver Broncos in the AFC championship game. 💪🏈

Whad'ya think about that coach? I mean, we need 8 to 10 teams from an era where only 5 won the super bowl, so I have expand my criteria in a creative but realistic fashion. 🤠

The Dawg Pound sounds like an excellent choice.

The Carolina Panthers (circa Jake Delhomme) might be another could'a, would'a, should'a choice.

The two teams I would add to a could'a, would'a, should'a list are the Buffalo Bills and the Minnesota Vikings. 4 Super Bowl appearances and 4 Super Bowl losses. In electric football you get a chance to correct history!

😁 Ha! I Love it Coach.....Almost like a little mini time machine.

Maybe I could take the 91' Eagles with that Awesome Buddy Ryan defense and pretend Randall Cunningham never got hurt. I'll just call it: The Philadelphia Experiment 😉
