The Metallians are riding on TTC Butterscotch bases and this creates a special dilemma for me because there aren't any Butterscotch standard (rookie) bases. This means positions like Tailback, Halfback, Wide Receiver, and Tight End that are Standard bases on all my other teams must be filled by TTC bases on the Metallians Team.

I believed that within my box of Butterscotch bases there were two Wide Receivers, two Tight Ends, and two tailbacks. This was a silly belief because I had absolutely no evidence in 50 years of playing electric football that TTC bases (Butterscotch or otherwise) could fill these positions better than Standard bases.

Still, I believed.

In this game Metallian WR #48 had 74 yards on 2 receptions and was targeted 4 times. One of the targets was an interception. #48 had 62 kick return yards.

Metallians Tight End #88 had 48 yards on 3 receptions and was targeted 4 times. TE #88 recovered the Onsides Kick.

Metallians WR #8 had 62 yards receiving and 55 kick return yards.

At halfback Metallians #22 rushed for 77 yards and the game winning touchdown.

I was absolutely astounded that TE #88 recovered the Onside Kick. How does a TTC base race up field faster than all those Standard bases? 

Maybe I'm dreaming. Please, don't wake me up.

The GTO and the Sirens of Titan have made the Playoffs at the #1 and #2 spots. The Metallians join them at the #3 position. The next game between the Red-Peg Rams and the Knights in White Satin will determine the 4th and final team in the Playoffs.
