Hey guys, finally got down to writing out my solitaire rules. I hope this is something the community finds useful or at least gives the group some ideas that they can incorporate into their own gameplay. For those familiar with my videos, you will find a couple of differences with the gameplay in my youtube rule series. If you’re playing any touch tackle I would say the qb is tackled regardless of the blocker engagement

In my league each team gets one play to score a td from the 20 (red zone). If they don’t get a Td they can still kick a fg. If the first team up scores a td then they must take the xtra pt, and if the second team up scores a td they have to go for 2 unless the first team missed their xpt (trying to avoid mult overtime’s). Of course I will still have mult OTs if both teams get a fg or if neither team scores anything.

Hey Terry, Bruce actually does have 2 videos on his method and I just looked at it again, checked out the comments and he replied that he uses 2, 10 sided dice. I’m with you, using stats to guide the game is not the way I choose to go. However some folks enjoy playing that way.

Terry, Shawn, thank you so much for your feedback and kind words. One of the great things about this hobby is that it allows a great deal of creativity. I have learned so much in the last year by watching and reading how others play the game. The FAT8 zone passing scheme inspired me with his ball on base method, I just went in a little different direction to match how I like to play solitaire. I also watched a video from a guy named Bruce Tripp who had designed some transparent game pieces that he uses with(I think )a dice passing system. I am glad you like the videos, I enjoy making them. I am hoping to contribute in any way I can!

It sounds like some of those Lancer defensive players may be in danger of losing their starting gig. When you let up 275 yds on the ground some heads are bound to roll…yikes!

Jim, you have said in another post the Lancers are your leagues version of the Ny Yankees (due to all the championships). Who is someone that we should look out for in the upcoming season? Is there any clear front runner?

Thanks Terry and yes I keep stocking up (mostly with ITZ bases) I’ll tweak some of the new ones and if I like how they look in scrimmages then some of them will get mixed into the draft pool. I love threads like this, it’s so interesting to see all the different approaches folks take.

Hey Terry, good question. In my system all the teams have to feed the draft lottery with some players off their team. I haven’t decided how many players off of each team but let’s just say it was 3, those 3 would be chosen at random so they may be the teams stars or JAGs or a mixture of both. That draft pool will also be supplied with new talent that wasn’t on a team the season prior. Then the draft itself is a random lottery draw. Using this method there is no telling if the good teams or the poor teams will improve or decline and I like the randomness aspect of it. You could get a dynasty, or there could be major power shift, or maybe it will just produce parity. I hope this helps explain my process😀

My thoughts are that they are temporarily retired but will be eligible to return in the following seasons lottery draft.

Hi Greg I have an 8 team solitaire league currently fielding 11 players per squad. My eventual plan is that before a season each team will have to randomly submit a certain number of players from their roster to be put into a lottery draft that will be populated with those free agents plus some freshly tweaked new bases. It will be a random lottery draw for each team so it will be possible for a team to get their free agents back. Since I am introducing new bases there is a good chance that some of those free agents will sit out the next season

Love the teams and really dig that blue teams uniform.

Thank you! Unfortunately as of right now I only have them scribbled on a notebook in writing that only I could probably read…lol. It is my intention to get them typed up but I am also working on tutorial videos in installments that I hope to have up pretty soon. It’s tough right now with the holidays but I am working on it. When you see the passing game it will seem like a lot but it actually runs pretty smoothly, that’s the video I am currently working on.

The AEFL championship game is up, two teams one ring, Comets, Flames. I will not post the score right now for the folks who want to watch the game.

AEFL Championship Game preview Arizona Flames vs Ohio Comets Line:Comets-3 Site:Tallahassee Fla, Florida Whales stadium Players to watch: Comets wr/cb#88, almost won eastern conference championship single-handedly. Caught two passes for 132 yds. 1st rec went for a td and the second rec set up a td on the next play. He also had an interception at cb and assisted on the second int, had a 57 yd kickoff return and made the game ending tackle. Hb/Safety #31 always seems to be around the ball on defense grabbing a crucial int in the last game. Arizona defensive line took over the western conference championship in the second half with three sacks including a game ending one by de/ot #79. Wr/cb#11 had only 1 catch but it was a 75 yard game winner on the second to last play of the game.#20 continues to be a dangerous receiver in the slot. This is the first meeting between these teams which will be played this weekend with game film up in about a week.

The AEFL Tournament Championship Game is set. The Ohio Comets vs the Arizona Flames. Both teams are 3-1 and the Comets come in as 3 point favorites. Here are both teams warming up under the lights at the neutral site of this Championship tilt in Tallahassee Fla (Florida Whales stadium).
