  1. Been playing the game for some 15 years now. Presently have 16 teams in my league. Teams are from 60's and 70's (yes I am that old). Each team get 8 possessions per game each 2 possessions per quarter. Try to keep my games at between 2 to 3 hours per game. Typical game goes as follows: Coin toss determines who receives ball. Ball is placed in runners hand at 20 yard line and game is turned on. Do not kick off as it is easier and faster to just place ball in return mans hand to return kick. Same is done on punts as well. In my game the tackle is everything to my game Try to keep game as realistic as possible. A tackle happens when runner is touched directly on front of base anywhere on front of base by any part of opposition players base. If runner is touched on side of base by opposition it must be direct hit by opposition with front of base other wise a glancing hit to base does not constitute a tackle and the runner can continue to run. The exception is if two defenders hit runner on side of base at same time then he is down. Same rule applies to making contact to back of runners base. Found that these tackling rules make the game very realistic. When it comes to passing I will allow a completion if ball hits receiver or if ball hits within about 1/2 inch of receivers base. The game takes to long to set up to have play end using typical electric football rules on offense . On defense if defender is touching receiver going out and a pass goes to the receiver it would be incomplete unless ball hits that defender then it is obviously an interception. On pass rush I turn on game for 3 seconds if any defender travels 7 yards or more into oppositions back field it is considered a sack even if he does not touch the quarterback. Fumbles are handled the same way as most EFL rules. I found that my game is fast exciting and very realistic to the actual game. Let me know what you think.

  2. My next tournament will be " the 1970 after the merger tournament" because there were 13 teams in each conference i had to do a few 1st round byes...i decided to give each division winner of 1970 a bye....in the nfc ...dallas won the east...minnesota won the central and the 49ers won the west....in the afc the colts won the east...the bengals won the central and the raiders won the west....this was the first year that the AFL was absorbed into the nfl...and 3 old nfl teams joined the the 10 afl teams to form the AFC conference....in super bowl 1 and 2 the packers had dominated the chiefs and raiders and many people said the AFL would never compete win the NFL ...but the jets won super bowl 3 and the chiefs won super bowl 4....so the new alignment proved that the AFL belonged and thus a new era began....in the real 1970 season the colts ...steelers and browns left the old nfl and joined the afc to balance the 2 conferences so each would have 13 teams....the colts and cowboys survived and made it to super bowl 5 where the colts won 16 to 13.....we will see who wins this time around... The majority of the games will be played on my super bowl 11 field that is my version of the AFC and NFC field.....the super bowl 11 field has a great historical relevance to the old tudor because this was the last big 620 size field tudor made....the fields after this were scaled down.....i will begin this one soon and rotate games between the NFC and AFC matchups.....i look forward to it.

  5. The 72 packers led by the running of John Brockington and receiving of Leland Glass and MacArthur lane beat the 65 packers 17-14 on Chester Marcol’s game winning field goal. Shows you how good they could be without “Devine” intervention. Next up the 72 pack vs the 83 pack and Lynn Dickey.

  7. Just wrapped up Season 4 of Le Buzz Parisien here in SE Paris. Baguette Bowl 4 was won, surprisingly, by the 4th seeded Pittsburgh Steelers (who came this close in last year's title game). A little season wrap-up and then some photos... The Quarterfinals: Steelers 28, Seahawks 14 ... and... Chargers 35, Eagles 21 Semifinals: Steelers 15, 49ers 13 (OT)... and... Oilers 21, Chargers 14 Baguette Bowl 4 Steelers 28, Oilers 14 A recap of a memorable Baguette Bowl: Baguette Bowl 4 saw the underdogs from Pittsburgh pull off a shocking, but convincing, 28-14 upset of the heavily-favored Houston Oilers in Paris last night. Coming into the playoffs as the 4th seed, the Black-and-Gold got on a roll and even the top-seed 6-1 Oilers couldn't slow them down when it counted most. Houston struck first on a 22-yard TD catch-and-run by scrappy Rob Carpenter who was ushered into the end zone by a bevy of earnest teammates (see photo). Two plays later Oilers safety Vernon Perry intercepted Bradshaw and things were looking bleaker than a Pittsburgh winter for the Stillers. But the Steel Curtain forced a Houston punt and Team MVP Franco Harris returned it 91 yards for a TD. The momentum had certainly swung. 7-7 at the half. The Steelers got the ball to start the 2nd stanza and Bradshaw quickly hit Temple alum Randy Grossman for a 75-yard TD. 14-7 Stillers. On the ensuing kickoff Grossman then forced an unimaginable Earl Campbell fumble (his first this season after 47 touches), and on 1st down Franco ran it in for a 20-yard TD. 21-7 Pittsburgh. Houston was reeling. On their next possession it took the Houston offense four plays to score (a 63-yard TD pass to Campbell), making it 21-14 and leaving four plays for Pittsburgh to seal the win. The usually opportunistic Oilers defense could not force a turnover as the Steelers notched two 1st downs and even scored on the last play of the game, a 24-yard jaunt through traffic by Harris, to seal the championship. The latter tally was quite the exclamation point (some would say quite unnecessary as well), but it certainly won't be soon forgotten in SE Texas. Baguette Bowl 4 MVP Franco Harris finished with 187 total yards and 3 TDs on 5 touches, besting regular season league MVP Earl Campbell, whose 213 yards and 1 TD on 8 touches couldn't overcome his devastating 2nd half fumble. Le Buzz Parisien now heads into the offseason. But plans for Season 5 are already underway, with discussions of potentially a 10-team league and a 5 or 6 game schedule. Teams definitely in for Season 5: Oilers, Seahawks, Chargers, Eagles, Chiefs, Dolphins, Buccaneers & Broncos. On the bubble: Steelers, 49ers, Vikings, Jags, & Bills. Relegated: Raiders. If you made it this far reading, let us know which of the above teams you'd like to see make it into the league for Season 5. Special thanks to the following for helping make this season, and this league, a success: Chris Stacey, Bryan Nutt, Tudor Games, Kenny King, James Harris and Norbert Revels #lebuzzparisien #electricfootball #tudorgames

  8. As a member of the “general public “all I knew about electric football was my experience as a kid with the game I got for Christmas. The board was small and the players went any witch way with no control. One day I was on YouTube and discovered all kinds of videos on playing the game tweeting the bases for better movement and making the players more realistic. I got on Tudor games website and saw bigger boards ,more realistic players and teams and all these great things to make my game more exciting. I was never a big fan of video games as I did not grow up with them and the cost of having to buy a better computer or new game console just to run the newest version of a game made no sense to me. With my electric football game I can buy new teams or change the numbers of my players as the nfl players change teams for a small investment.I’m also glad for people like Cris to start a museum to educate people on the advancement in the game and it’s history and Kit and his toe pro football showing us how to play the game better. I’ve explored other web sites on electric football and realized Tudor products are more than reasonable compared to similar products. I challenge you to find a cheaper 2x4 board of the same quality so I say thank you Tudor games for helping a once lame game great.

  9. Got my toe pro field cover for my ultimate board. Trimmed it to fit and put it on with magnets on the sides to hold it down. Ran it and my players ran great. Still working on magnet placement but now I can use it with the toe pro or packer cover. Will send a video if anyone is interested.

  10. I am planning on doing a "what if?" match-up in Electric Football between two of the greatest cfb teams ever assembled, 2019 LSU and 2001 Miami. I usually just do NFL for Electric Football but I decided to do a one time college match-up and I always wondered which of these two teams was better. This is going to be a just for fun game and I will stream it live on my YouTube channel. Since it is a just for fun game, it will not have all of the time limits to set up players, make pivots, motions, and adjustments, and it will have some rule changes, but it will still be a very interesting and fun game. It will be on a running clock, 15 minutes each quarter, and the clock doesn't stop unless it is a 2 minute warnings or a timeout is called ( Each team gets 3 timeouts) I will be controlling both teams and I will keep score and make pivots, motions, and adjustments, as well as use the TTQB. Punts, field goals, and extra points will be different as for punts I will leave the players how they were from the previous play and punt the football with the TTQB from the spot of ball and wherever the ball lands that is where the return team gets to return from and I will place the punt returner where the ball landed. The punting team will get to make pivots and adjustments. For kicking extra points and field goals, I will leave everything how it was from the previous play and kick the field goal from the spot of the ball. There will be no set time to do anything, since it is a just for fun game, and I will take my time, but I will still try my best to go as fast as I can and keep the game running smoothly. I am making a team of 2019 L.S.U. Tigers and 2001 Miami Hurricanes with there actual rosters and starting lineups and each player will have a base. I am not sure when the game will happen but it should be coming soon and I will do it as soon as the teams are ready. Let me know your score predictions for the game. LSU or the U? Who ya got? It should be a pretty good game. Here us the link to my YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/channel/UCTzsBq2jtuKCXVZk_uXGY_w

  11. The 29th Championship game (Super Bowl 29) has been won by the Lancers, over the Warriors, 23-7. The Lancers concluding their 2021 season at 7-2-1, met the Warriors, who finished 6-4, at Warrior Stadium. This was the fourth championship game meeting of these two teams. Interestingly, all have been played with Warriors as home team - and the Lancers have won every one. The first quarter opened with all the auspices of a defensive struggle, as the Warriors made a concerted effort to stop the Lancers' ground game. In this, they were quite successful throughout the first half, with the longest Lancers' run being a mere 7 yards. The first quarter ended in a scoreless tie, as both teams' quarterbacks had trouble hitting their open receivers - when they were open. Coverage was generally quite good for both teams throughout the game. The second quarter opened with the Warriors moving the ball downfield in an impressive drive. RB #5 ripped off a 54 yard run, and QB #12 finding the range, and hitting 3 out of 4 passes, the last being an 8 yard TD pass to WR #82, giving the Warriors a 7-0 lead, following the conversion. The Lancers responded by driving the ball downfield themselves. QB #6 hit WR #25 on a long pass (only one of three completions he made in the game), and the Lancers advanced to the Warriors' 6 yard line. But #6 was sacked by SS #30, and the Lancers attempted a FG - which went wide left. At that point, things seemed to be going the Warriors' way, but suddenly went south. On third down, inside the 10, #12went back to pass. No one was open, and the Lancers were getting pressure. He pitched the ball to #5, who, trapped, reversed his field, trying to avoid the safety. As he was running left, Lancers' FS #30, fell over (this is considered an injury, and he was out of the game for subsequent plays), but #5 ran right into him, making the score 7-2. The half soon ended. The Lancers got the opening KO for the second half, and replacing QB #6 with #9, began a drive in which #9 completed 4 out of 4 passes. The drive was capped off with #41 running for 3 yards and a TD. After the conversion, the Lancers held their first lead - which would not be relinquished - in the game, and the momentum shifted. The Warriors found it increasingly difficult to run the ball, with #5 losing more yardage than he gained (he finished the game with only 56 yards rushing). The Lancers continued to dominate, and #9 was on a roll, making several key completions. Late in the third quarter, he drove the ball downfield, and reserve FB #24 broke through the left side of the line for a 37 yard TD run. The Lancers now had a 16-7 lead. On the last play of the third quarter, #12 completed a pass to TE #88, who fumbled, and the Lancer's DE #98, quickly running downfield, recovered. On the very next play (the first play of the fourth quarter), #41 broke through the middle of the line, and scored on a 49 yard run. With the Lancers now leading 23-7, the Warriors replaced QB #12 with #8, but he too was unable to generate any offense for the team. #41 led all rushers with 86 yards; #9 (MVP offense) went 7-11 passing in the second half, and provided the spark the Lancers needed; #85 led all receivers with 4 catches. For the Warriors, #5 had 56 yards rushing, and #82 and #88 were the principal receivers, with 3 catches each. The Lancers had 3 sacks (2 by SLB #56 and 1 by DE #87), the Warriors only 1. The Lancers also had the fumble recovery, with dashed all Warrior hopes. There were no interceptions. Warriors' #61 (who replaced the injured WLB #91 in the first quarter) was the MVP defense for sealing off the weak side throughout the game.

  14. You may want to consider which type of pint you are going to use. Acrylic paint is usually thin and most likely will need a couple of coats to cover. They are easier to keep the brushes clean than enamels are, but are pretty brittle and flake off after drying, so you will need a clear coat when you are done. Enamels can often cover with one coat, so you can paint right over the stock figures without priming if you want. When dry, enamels are tough as nails and are hard to chip off so a clear coat isn’t necessary. Acrylics come in a better variety of colors, but enamels work better when doing things like stripes where you only want to do them one time instead of having to add a second coat. Whichever you use, be patient and take your time. Invest in a good magnifying glass stand to help you with small details and get 2 brushes in each size. Use one for whites and yellows only and the other for colors so that paint doesn’t bleed. Nothing worse than using what you thought was a clean brush to paint a white jersey only to discover than the brush till had a little red in the bristles and now that white jersey is pink.

  18. Yes, we have a lot of teams out of stock right now. There are three main reasons for that: 1. The pandemic made tabletop games even more popular, and we had a great year last year; 2. The pandemic is making it difficult to source our materials for our products, this is finally improving; 3. We have a big announcement coming regarding NFL and College (yes college) team sets. I cannot share the details, but it’s pretty exciting and we’re working hard to get product available so that when we announce, you’ll be able to buy it that same day. Thank you for your patience. We think the announcement will happen at the end of this month, or in July. At this time, it’s a bit hard to say.

  20. Kenny Mayne is a 27 year veteran of ESPN and tonight is his last SportsCenter show. Kenny lives here in the Seattle area and we know he used to play Electric Football with Stuart Scott, who tragically passed away after a bout with cancer. Kenny is having several friends and fellow Seattle-connected guests on the show, including Marshawn Lynch and Sue Bird. We put together a special game for Kenny and we are optimistic that the game will be presented to Kenny on the show. You never know with this kind of thing, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Hoping that he gets our gift and enjoys it, whether on the air, or not. Will share pics of the game tomorrow as we don't want to spoil the surprise! Doug

  23. Hi all, I've started up my 16 team solitaire league this year after a long hiatus. I was in the middle of my 13th season when I quit playing, but fortunately I found the records and have recently picked up where I left off. Also bought a new board as the old one had some rusty spots that affected the players movement. Pics below are of the inaugural game with the new board, Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles won 14-7. Got one more game to play in week 4 and then off to week 5, the final week of the regular season where all the games are division games. 3 of the 4 division champions have already been determined with just the NFC West to be decided. Still plenty to be determined in terms of the playoffs. 8 of 16 teams make the playoffs. Happy to be playing again!

  29. I find several of your concepts intriquing. The one that I'm particularly interested in is the tackling. I've always maintained that if the defensive player's base contacts the ball carrier's base no matter where or how slight, the offensive player is considered tackled. But there is no situation where a ball carrier breaks a tackle. I'm going to consider adopting an iteration of your rule into my league. Thanks for sharing!

May get some gameplay in new year's eve but we shall see Thanks to all who came and viewed my tournament, left comments and gave advice. I do appreciate it More games and tournaments on the way. Along with attempting to paint my own figures. So hopefully will open doors for new ideas and other projects! Merry Christmas everyone and if I don't get a chance to post on there before then....a happy new year to all too 😀 🎄 PS: If anyone gets any cool stuff at Christmas for EF or football in general please post somewhere on the forum would love to see!😋🏈

  33. Championship Games NFC - The Rams will take on the Saints for the NFC Championship. This is a rematch of the divisional round playoff game from last season where the Saints shut out the Rams. It will also be the 3rd time these two teams have met in the Championship game, the Rams winning the previous two. RB Wendell Tyler fumbles the opening kickoff but is able to recover only reaching the 7 yard line. QB Doug Williams completes a pass to Tyler for 13 yards giving the Rams some breathing room. Williams is sacked on the very next play for a 12 yard loss. From there, the Rams continue what would be a 10 play drive featuring completions to WR Ron Jessie for 36 yards, Tyler for 9 yards and a 31 yard scamper by FB Cullen Bryant. But the drive ends in disaster when Bryant fumbles and the Saints recover and return the ball 54 yards setting up the Saints offense at the Rams 39 yard line. The Ram defense steps up, stuffing RB Chuck Muncie for a 5 yard loss and sacking QB Bobby Scott. On third down Scott is tripped and falls awkwardly for a 12 yard loss. He is injured and likely will not return. The Saints are forced to punt. Bryant gets a 27 yard return and Williams goes back to work completing passes to TE Charlie Young for 17 yards and WR Preston Dennard for 14 yards. With almost no time left on the clock, K Frank Corral boots a 59 yard field goal as time runs out in the first half. The Rams lead 3-0 at the half. QB Archie Manning is in for the injured Bobby Scott. It has been several seasons since Manning has seen live action. After Muncie is stuffed for no gain, Manning completes a pass to WR Ike Harris yielding 27 yards. On the next play, Manning is intercepted. The return sets up the Rams offense in Saints territory. Williams wastes no time as he airs it out to Bryant running a deep wheel route. Bryant takes it into the endzone for a 41 yard TD. Muncie returns the ensuing kickoff 69 yards setting up the Saints at the 37 yard line of Los Angeles. A sack and two incompletions later, K Nick Mike Myer attempts a 53 yard field goal that hooks left and no good. The Rams take over. The Rams rushing game only yields 3 yards on the first two downs, but Williams is able to complete to Young over the middle yielding 37 yards and a first down. Bryant is stuffed on first down, so Williams goes back to the air. He is intercepted by rookie LB Reggie Mathis. Manning completes a pass to Muncie for 40 yards setting up Myers 43 yard field goal. The Saints attempt an onside kick which is recovered by the Rams. The Rams run two running plays and assume the victory formation. The game ends sending the Rams back to Superbowl, their 9th appearance in 14 seasons. The Saints are now 0-6 in Championship games. AFC – The Pittsburgh Steelers go to Baltimore to face the Colts in the AFC Championship Game. These two teams are winners of the last two Superbowls with the Steelers being the defending Champions. There are 9 AFC Championships and 5 Superbowl wins between these two teams. Steelers WR Anthony Carter takes the opening kickoff to midfield, giving the Steelers excellent starting field position. Bradshaw goes right to work completing passes to WR John Stallworth of 16 and 20 yards. The drive stalls and K Chris Bahr boots a 25 yard field goal to open the scoring. The Colts opening drive starts with a bang with RB Rob Carpenter rushing for 24 yards. The drive stalls after the running game is contained and an incomplete pass by QB Bert Jones. The Colts go for it on 4th and 6 and Bert Jones completes the pass to RB Joe Washington for 18 yards. Jones is sacked on first down, and then is picked off by S Mike Wagner who returns the ball 41 yards. After an incomplete pass, Bradshaw completes a screen pass to WR Jim Smith for 17 yards. With time running out, Bahr knocks home a 37 yard field goal giving the Steelers a 6-0 lead at the half. The Colts first drive of the second half stalls as the running game is stuffed and Jones throws two incomplete passes. Carter returns the punt 40 yards. The Steelers go on a 9 play drive including a 4th down and 2 conversion. The drive stalls, and Bahr boots his third field goal of the day giving the Steelers a 9-0 lead. WR John Jefferson sets up to take the kickoff. Jefferson fumbles and the Steelers recover sinking the Colts Superbowl hopes. The Steelers run out the clock and will go to their 5th Superbowl. They will compete for their 4th Superbowl Championship. SUPERBOWL 14 Los Angeles Rams vs Pittsburgh Steelers

  36. Inside TOEPRO Football Less is more I was always trying to figure out how to do more with less. How to adapt and overcome. The answer to somethings are right in front of us. In TOEPRO Football, the defense couldn’t replace players so my secondary coverage had disguise itself but also move forward to make plays. Furthermore, replacing the on field QB for a standstill counted as an audible that didn’t want to waste on a play nor did I want to spend on additional players to achieve this objective. In the “20 yards of fame” all kinds of things are happening but I don’t want to spend on things not in football to achieve this. The old TTC base had it all the time. The dial tab, seen as a throw away attachment, was the answer right in front of me. Steps: 1. Tweaked the base to go forward as desired. 2. Turn the dial 180 degrees. 3. Squeeze the dial tab a little. This increases the dial tab length. Do it until all the prongs come in contact with the surface when closely viewed from the side. 4. Rotate dial forward to notice tab no longer touches the field (because of the slightly forward tilt of the base). This allowed for dial motion (directional and standstill) without additional things added. Now my QB can roll out or stay in the pocket without purchasing another player and my safeties can stay in cover 2 or can sneak down for run support. All with one base. FullSizeRender.mov Now I can save money to buy something else. From my days as a kid, I offer you this. Kit Kinchen Commissioner, TOEPRO Football Professional Football on an Electric Field

  41. I love your painting advice, point 6 is one that hits home to me. I would add some advice to painters to take advantage of different tools like ultra fine paint pens and permanent markers, they can really help with details.

  44. In the opening game of the 2021 season, the world champion Thunderbolts defeated the visiting Hawks, 31 - 21. The Thunderbolts are coming off an undefeated, untied 2020 season (being only the second team to have a perfect record in 28 years), and remain unbeaten to this point. Thunderbolts' QB #7 stared slow, but came on to finish with 2 TD passes (both to TE #82), and RB #27 had 197 yds rushing in a dominating performance. Besides #82's 2 TDs, #27 (40 yds) and #23 (51 yds) both had rushing TDs. On defense, the T-bolts had 2 sacks and an interception (FS #20). The Hawks, except for 2 long runs (by #36 and #40) never could get their running attack going, and their passing game was inconsistent. Starting QB #12 had TD passes to WR #88 and FB #36, and back-up QB #17 had one to WR #86. The defense had no sacks, but did have an interception (FS #26) in the first quarter - which came to nought. Next up: Panthers at defending Old League champion Titans.

  45. Bob, Yeah I'm big on keeping the teams in their original cities. I didn't have any Super Bowls my first two seasons, as I only had 5 teams in my league. My 4 Super Bowls were as follows: Eagles vs. Packers (Eagles won) Cowboys vs. 49ers (49ers won) Steelers vs Packers (Packers won) Rematch of Steelers vs Packers (Packers won again (Mel Blount was out hurt and Lofton, Dale, and Sharpe ate up Dwayne Woodruff)) BTW, I agree with nefgm, there is no right way or wrong way to play. It is whatever floats your boat and makes it fun for you.

  46. My #1 Tip is when you squeegee out the soapy water from underneath the field cover start at the 50 yard line and work your way 5 yards at a time towards the end-zone on all four corners. The worst thing that can happen is sealing the edge of the field cover while there is an air bubble behind it. Slow and steady wins the race, you don't get second chances! 47. Go to Dollar General and pick up a product called LA Totally awesome. Fill a jar with the liquid and drop the figures in and let soak until the paint melts off. rince in clear water afterward, figures should look clean and ready for new paint. I've left figures in the solution for months and no harm to them.

  48. Saw a rumor on Facebook that more college teams would be available here from Tudor. That is awesome!!! My question is will college fields be available for the teams that you will have, when they go on sale?
